I'll add onto that tidbit regarding DA's usage..

Actually... the main reason for "No Diagon Alley" last year during HHN was more to do with it being "new" more than anything, so it was used for private events & whatnot. There is usually a lot of private events going on during HHN that are held in IOA, majority of the time in the WWOHP/LC area (if not park wide). So with the new area, its prime private event space, plus you've got Hogwarts Express as well..

In regards to this year, it is rumored that Gringotts WILL be open during HHN (obviously due to crowds). This rumor is due to interesting "express pass" restrictions that didn't exist last year. I have a friend that works at Gringotts who indirectly confirmed the rumor for me by saying that he has already told them he is NOT being scheduled for HHN haha... So we'll see if the rumor does prove true.

okay... now back to our regularly scheduled ooooo-ing & aaahhhh-ing over scaffolding coming down...

In a way, i'm curious if Hollywood will use Hogsmeade during HHN next year just for Capacity reasons. As for one; FJ is a people eater and it would take people off the streets during HHN. And also, Japan has Hogsmeade open during theirs but theres no Halloween theming over there. In any case; i'm really interested in operations for 2016.

But yea; Oooing and ahhing over Hogwarts. I still can't believe we have a castle in our park now, and its a badass castle if I don't mistake it.

Yes, they were painting the faux rock-work facing Shrek 4D when I was there a few days ago.

They're just going to have to limit the number of people they let into Wizarding World to keep those kind of crowd issues from happening.

Isn't there a staircase on the backside of the FJ greenhouse queue? Couldn't they design an overflow queue under the FJ show building?

^well that was actually what I was questioning myself... Orlando doesn't have that, obviously. I figured it was probably just a "fire escape" evac route for the queue or something. I couldn't figure out how wide it was to determine if there was enough space for a line to go down one side & then back up the other. From what can be seen, I don't think it has a dividing rail.

An overflow queue behind the building is what I was wondering about, but I don't think we'll see that.. Glad I'm not the only one to have it cross their mind. lol

I hope they plan on putting a lot more really tall tress surrounding the area to help block out the "outside world" as much a possible. I know it won't be completely immersive but hopefully they do as much as they can. Like it would be nice to not be able to see the Shrek building while waiting in line for Hippogriff.

Hippo should have quite a bit of landscaping, but don't expect everything to be blocked from view. That's just unrealistic for a theme park.... Besides, I don't want to see the Shrek queue completely blocked anyway because you won't get a view of FJ/Hogwarts like that from within the actual land.

Wow, it looks amazing. Theres still the obvious signs of work need to be done on Hogsmeade but a lot of the façade work for Hogsmeade done, excluding the Castle and Hippogriff of-course. But is it me or why do I see a retaining wall being built next to Hippogriff?

It covers the backstage area from guest view. There is one in Islands and Japan as well.

eek, I sure hope that awful Krustyland ride building will not be visible (or heard) from inside Potterland.

The only thing that would make that picture better, would be if it was taken slightly more to the right & turned more to the left so we could see Hippo entirely from that view...

Retheming The Simpsons Ride exterior should really be considered. On a positive note, WWHP looks magnificent. Crazy how much the park has improved in only a few years.

The Simpsons ride exterior is fine. Retheming it would not be logical or serve any purpose other than giving into people not liking it because they missed the point of it looking like it does. Krustyland is supposed to be "cheap & tacky" looking. Krusty is out to make a quick buck, not create immersive quality rides/attractions. Its all part of the charm & theme. Besides... it is accurate to The Simpsons cartoon & you can't see it from within WWOHP..
