Haven't checked in a while, have ya? Besides Jurassic Park, everything is looking great.

I probably sound like a broken record by now, but I honestly feel like I died and went to heaven, I can't believe two of my favorite things (USH and Potter) are coming together at last. Seriously, dream come true. It's looking more and more amazing every day.

Next February, March or April can't come soon enough ;)

I got it ;) and what you said is totally true. It's crazy to see that this is USH and it is hard to believe that Harry Potter is just so close by and we can go to it whenever, not take a 6 hour plane ride.

No I got it. Just wasn't relatively funny haha.

But yeah, we're gonna be ridiculously spoiled to have it in our backyard now! I can't wait to dress up :D

But if you look close up through scaffolding, the details are already all in there and about to come down anytime this month.  Hogsmeade is mostly done besides the top of the Owlery and maybe a bit in the back, and the Hippogriff track is all in place, BUT THE loading station is probably super easy to finish even though we probably can't see it over the walls.  All that's left as far as buildings go is Hagrid's hut, which I bet is simply a large prop they can place next to the queue.

Major construction work is more or less done as far as buildings go. However, there is actually still quite a bit left to do. None of the shops & whatnot have any of their scenic details yet. There is a lot of things to be installed over the next month or two.

Oh yea, the other thing I was told, which most aren't going to like because they could've taken care of it during/after the front queue renovation (but its still a theme park with limited space that tends to cut corners. *waves hi to Transformers façade*)... anyway, apparently Shrek's building can be easily seen from about 10feet up over by the Spirit Rally stage. Which brings up the question, "why wasn't money/effort dumped into renovating the rest of the queue behind the building, as well as the building itself?"  We've seen that they seem to be planting more trees, but all they'd have to do is paint trees or rockwork on the building. Universal was heavily fined for the FJ show building being highly visible in Orlando (poor design planning for the big box), so it will be interesting to see what happens here because of Shrek. Granted, I'm sure they don't care too much about any fines due to the fact the Potter merch will have any fines paid off within a week or less   But yea... forgot to mention that earlier when posting the brief Hogsmeade details.

What do you mean by fines??? Who fines the park for having pieces of show building in view? Who regulates this?

WB/JK Rowling.... Its been said that Rowling would visit during the construction of Orlando's WWOHP & actually measure things, then tell them to redo/change it if it didn't meet specifications. I've never really dug deep into the whole story but yea... Supposedly Orlando was fined somewhere between $80,000-125,000 because of FJ's show building being visible. I know Rowling is a total control freak (and like WB, has no issue with continuing to milk the Potter cow dry), but I take the measuring things & fines with a little grain of salt. One of those theme park urban legend type things. And trust me, when it comes to Potter, there are quite a few.

But yea... we'll see what happens though. Even without the addition to Potter in the park, there is no excuse for the laziness that is the rest of Shrek's queue & building backside other than they were too cheap to do it. Which is a shame considering the amazing job they did with the "swamp/enchanted forest" queue.

Shrek's building being visible isn't a rumor though lol... which is what would make you rage.

Although, I suspect most people to overlook the visibility of the building due to Hogwarts castle attracting their attention that direction instead. And of course, when watching the frog choir/spirit rally shows, people should be watching that rather than looking up at Shrek. Its a minimal issue & is really no different than the complaints people made in Orlando about seeing the Dragons Challenge track while in Hogsmeade (yes people seriously complained about that).

I've wondered if shrek might be a temporary problem. I had noticed that while moderate improvements are being made to shrek, the door to what would have been dragon challenge backs right up to the new shrek queue. 'I wonder if the new queue might someday be used for a future potter themed attraction if shrek were ever removed. Why else would they have kept the door?

It is August 2015. Until I plainly see the Shrek building from within Hogsmeade with my own eyes, this is both a rumor as well as jumping the gun about the unfinished product...not to mention freaking out about something someone posted online...

Not sure about you, but something looks off with the castle roof.

I've been starring at it for a few minutes, it's killing me, not sure what you're referring to! Are you talking about the color, shape, alignment, etc?

The color definitely looks unfinished as far as I can tell haha.

One thing that does look different is the smaller tower to the right of the tallest tower. I think that it sticks out to much. It might just be from the angle the picture was taken and should look normal in the actual land.

The rock work's design though, looks a bit different, unless I'm going crazy. I know it's not finished yet, but Orlando's looks more jagged and "sharp", with more lines, while ours so far looks like it's more "cliffy", bumpy, and has more rounded elements. Might be lighting, angles, and the fact that it's unfinished, but that's what it's sort of looking like.
