Yoshi being a new meetable character shocked me the most, especially with how Hollywood's land is basically getting something Japan hasn't. Similarly I also hope this leads to Daisy as well.

Meanwhile, seeing that the DWT will be used for the event if I read that right, I now wonder if JoJo could be fair game for next year with an English version of the 4D show for it. I think it can do with or without recency with how iconic Part 3 is.

Yeah, it's pretty shocking that Hollywood will be getting a proper Yoshi before Japan or potentially Orlando. But we also got a Daisy plush before Japan so-

Kind of thought all of the cool things would go to Japan first lol.

Beyond Yoshi, I'm thinking we're most likely to see Daisy, Bowser Jr., and Rosalina at some point in the future. The former two have already appeared at USJ, just not as meet & greets.

You know, now that you mention him, I'm reminded of a dream I had that I previously talked about that I forgot to bring up when FFN was first announced:
BriefCasey said:
So I had a dream where Universal Hollywood was holding a Waluigi Festival as some after hours event in similar vein to the passholder takeovers and such. Ironic as it sounds, I only like saw the front of the park (so no SNW and my dream ended before I could even go inside) but they had it decked out and looking vibrant and purple, almost as if you took the aesthetic of the Waluigi Pinball track in Mario Kart and decked a park with it. It was a weird dream, but it looked like something on a similar caliber to special events hosted at the Disney parks (like Oogie Boogie bash, kinda). Especially since they had some photo ops even around the gate.

I doubt we'd actually see something like this, but as it randomly just happened in my mind, one can dream. XD

...Maybe we could get that Waluigi Festival after all in the future. XD

If nothing else, it almost feels like my dream was prophetic about FFN to some extent

If they found a way to make a big suit like DK look good, i'd KILL to see Bowser in a similar build!

I just want DK, and all the DK merch honestly. No shot we ever get the full area, so why not just incorporate it into base SNW?

So after looking on the official website for info on the entry process and whatnot, this may sound strange coming from someone who has never touched HHN in his entire life, but do you guys think Early Access is gonna be worth getting for FFN as well?
I at least remember seeing some people on twitter recommend it for HHN in the past, and considering the tickets page got a lot of traffic when it first went live, I can only assume FFN will draw just as big, if not bigger crowds because it's family friendly this time.

Considering how SNW Early Access has served me well, my gut's telling me it might be worth splurging the extra if it means an easier time getting through everything. Sucks that us passholders can't get a discounted 2 night ticket though.

In the case of Early Access, you should be getting early access to both Star Trek and Dungeon's & Dragons as part of the package (alongside the likely ability to queue up for Destination Hill Valley early). If you wanna get one of the two started for the night; that might be a good investment.

Okay... now that I've caught up on the past few pages (and the IU article).. I have to say that USH really handled this event poorly. /start rant

They really should've done a better job expanding on more details for each IP individually like when they first got announced (or at least made it easier to access the info). I shouldn't have to rely on an IU article to get a better idea of what the event is actually offering. They did a poor job of generating hype & instead just did a random "surprise! Tickets are on sale!" for a new event we've barely promoted. *sigh*

The merch leaves something to be desired. Some is great, the rest is ...basic/underwhelming. I hope they just didn't show all that is going to be available, but if that's it. Yikes.

Not exactly "wow'd" by the food offerings. Some of it looks generically basic without much thought/effort. I shouldn't be surprised by this because lately the themed options at USH haven't been "the best" (starting with the 60th?). It'll be interesting to see what the prices for these food options will be.

I know USH is anti-physical park map, but come on. Give us an event map for this. *grumble*

As for the actual event offerings, it's hard to even anticipate anything due to the vague-ness of details. I feel like you'll actually need to go multiple nights due to BTTF, Nintendo-Drones, & Hogwarts Always shows alone. USH isn't a big park, but ....HHN has taught us it can feel like one. I'm curious how much time will be needed to experience all BTTF has to offer or the Yoshi (+drone) stuff. Will the D&D/Trek experiences have repeat value like an HHN house or 1-and-done like a bad HHN house (or Late Night With Chucky)? When you start to analyze everything (excluding the rides), it's definitely not a 1-night only event. Unless you skip stuff & rush. /End rant

I agree about the map situation, but this is the first time ever doing an event like this outside of HHN. I mean, what more details do you want? I feel they've done a fairly good job covering the ground that needs to be covered.

The initial announcement of each IP was very vague & limited. This update yesterday requires too much "view more" or having to rely on a non-universal posted event breakdown.

So with it being "new" & them allegedly working on this for the past few years- I expect better. Honestly, the sudden ticket availability dropping without much fanfare leading up to it makes it feel like they panicked since it starts in 2.5 months.

BUT clearly Universal is just banking on people seeing the IP graphics & immediately clicking "buy now" for tickets (which works somewhat). To be fair, most guests attending HHN don't even know what they're walking into (even with the IP banners across the turnstile), so i don't know why i should expect more effort from Universal for this.

So I'm guessing clearing out a walkthrough or two is a valid tactic? Cause on one hand I wanna take in the scenery, but on the other, I'd imagine this is what HHN people do?

I’d say given the smaller scope you should be able to get two runs with the walkthroughs if lines cooperate.

Outside of Jujutsu Kaisen, which should be just a one time; I think starting with DND, Star Trek and then BTTF might not be a bad play.

So for the Star Trek experience the website says its going to be in Minions land. Where do we think they are going to put the Walk-Through?

Yeah that would make sense. For some reason I was thinking they wouldn't for HHN reasons, but I guess it's still a little too early for them to start construction for that. Same for SoundStage 15. Construction crew sure is going to be busy
