IP hoodie too

And give us the Universal Japan anime swag... retractable ID holders, popcorn buckets, etc

I'm trying so hard to tell myself "NO" to those Jujutsu Kaisen wolf plushies. My bed only has so much room :sob::skull:

I'm sure closer to the event they'll reveal even more merch that'll be better. I'm really hoping for a shirt that will have all the IPs on the back like the HHN house shirts. That would be an instant buy for me

Yeah, I don't think everything at that media preview is indicative of all the merch they will have. I think an HHN style catch all shirt is fair game considering this event is literally a non-horror alternative to it.

Ngl, I’m just glad we got it at all even if it’s SNW Diet. Though I do like that we got easily the best MK queue, a weirdly hidden ice area (also exclusive to our location) and overall a (tiny) unique layout.

I really feel like if you get rid of the dumb band dispensers and turn it into SOMETHING, put an activity in the Peach castle area, get rid of Transformers and turn into a Nintendo attraction (unique to Hollywood), you’ll have a really solid and quirky version of the land.

If this becomes successful wonder if they’ll do a FanFest for Orlando?

Most likely yes. It was rumored to happen on both coasts awhile ago but I guess due to Epic Universe it's only happening in Hollywood for now. Depending on how it does in Hollywood this year will probably be the deciding factor on if Orlando does it in 2026

Fair because if they did most likely they’ll replace Back to the Future with Ghostbusters in the New York area.

Orlando already has Mardi Gras for this time of year & now EU... let Hollywood have it's own exclusive. Sheesh.

Anyway... this is now a thing:

Simple solution: have it at IoA.

You missed the point entirely. Orlando doesn't need it. Hollywood has nothing outside of haunt/holidays.

I didn't miss the point I just ignored it lol. It's inevitable for it to come to Orlando if it's a success. It was already rumored to come to Orlando when the rumors started for FFN

From those who I talk too in the past--Universal seems to be decreasing the presence of Mardi Gras in the terms of dates. Assuming if the dates align; Orlando will be able to have Fan Fest Nights done (we've seen them do seasonal conversions within 2-3 week periods with HHN to Holidays. Mardi Gras ending in Early April, with FFN then in Late April wouldn't be that far of a stretch).

Also your point is a little flawed because Mardi Gras is now usually from February to March/early April. If they were to have the same dates as Hollywood it would still be okay because it would be late April to May

SPEAKING OF…Why doesn’t USH have Mardi Gras over here!? Granted, a parade isn’t possible, but why not have a little live entertainment in the plaza and have some food stand there and throughout the park? USH could use its own food festival.

Dude omg. I was literally talking about this the other day with some friends when I got back home from Mardi Gras at USF lol. Like you said a parade isn't possible, but you can still do it without the parade! Have a bunch of different food offerings, a lot of decorations, do a Mardi Gras themed tribute store, do a show or something in one of the soundstages maybe even use DWT. There's still a lot of things you can do without the parade. It's a bummer they haven't done it yet at USH because it really is an awesome offering at USF. Now with FFN coming I doubt they'll ever bring it over but it's okay. FFN will be just as fun

I’m with Wesker in wishing this was Hollywood exclusive. I know it won’t be but damn, can’t we have anything unique outside the studio tour? I ain’t got the expenses to go to Florida every year to try out their exclusive attractions lol.

You say that but we still have Pets, JWTR and a Fast & Furious coaster that’s gonna be dramatically different than what Orlando’s will be due to the topography and the terrain around ours, ontop of the Studio Tour.

I believe Screamscape had reported of the potential of a similar event to ours in the past, that would’ve relied on overlays of existing attractions such as Fallon and Supercharged. As much as I like having things that makes us stand out against our other counterparts; Fan Fest Nights has potential to do great numbers financially in Orlando.

Me and @Jonathan had previously talked about how at this point—the only real spot missing from our seasonal caldendar is a food festival to counter that of Disney and Knotts endeavors. I wouldn’t mind if they dusted off the Top Chef Food Festival concept that was originally intended for 2020.

Having a daytime event that allows people to try specialty chef offerings would be a fun means of adding something special—especially paired with food cooking semininars in the plaza.

I never get this, why would I want to deny other people fun?

Its across the country

Let both coasts have fun events, If it was another park in say San Deigo I get it but these parks are too far apart for me to care. If both parks do it hopefully more profits means more money to invest into the parks

If anything I want USH to do more events and copy its sister park and give us more to do. USH next year could make it where almost all year is events

Lunar New Years Jan/Feb and then Mardi Gras End of Feb/March then Fan Fest in April and May. Then a Summer event then HHN and Grinchmas.....if we get this...OMG yes then I think USH will at least be trying to become a park that can stay open more days past 6 PM

But its not cheap to travel anyone more...and I can't event make it to Epic universe so its not for lack exclusives that is killing these parks its the prices around going...hotels and flying add a huge amount to the price tags

As I understood it, there was a rumor that Mardi Gras was going to come to Hollywood, even as of just a few years ago. Not sure why it didn't end up happening, though. Maybe they decided to focus on Fan Fest instead?
