I'm pleased they're going with TNG as the basis (I would have preferred TOS, but still) instead of the modern TREK properties.

So is this a maze/house/walkthrough like HHN? I’m not a Star Trek fan, but this is so fun.

We know absolutely nothing in regards to what their "immersive experience" will be. No details have been released as it is only September. This is just generic singular IP hype just reiterating what was already announced.

Expect the same for the other IPs, but again without actual details.

This is the first time we've had an IP specified a bit further in context though.

Honestly with the way it is being worded, part of me thinks this might be DWT. It has the venue to have the wrap-around screen act as if it is the Captain's Bridge, and it might be simplistic in execution with the only major things needed really being in the matter of Preshow.

Outside of that, I can see this being something that has assets from Star Trek: Picard on display, alongside props from The Next Generation proper.

That was my first thought for location. Hopefully nobody wears a red shirt

Thinking more and more, you can even include more of Star Trek: Picard into this than people expect. Have the outside queue get small theming flourishes to have us in Picard's wine vineyards from the Spinoff Picard series, and then have the preshow have an element that "beams" us into the Captain's Bridge of the Enterprise-D.

It'd be simplictic, but surprisingly effective and easy to do without spending as much.

Depositing a thought, what do people think of when considering D&D, where Universal pulls from?

Given Baldurs Gate 3 & Honor Among Thieves popularity in quality, I wonder if they might lean into one of those options for a more GP friendly experience (even with BG3 being more adult based).

I imagine they'll stick to characters and standard elements you can find in official branded stuff like the monster manual or the other books. They could maybe string that through an original narrative but if its just meet and greets I'd just expect standard archetypes. It's a weird point of reference but I'd say the recent lego minifigure series licensed with DnD is a good reference point, basically just character/creature types.

Now would be a good time to ask @Brian G. but, with Fan Fest Nights having the similarities to HHN as it does; will we have dedicated threads for the specific IP's?

HHN gets its own threads because it’s a beast of its own. Let’s see where this thing goes before we walk down that path.

Maybe they will use the walking dead area too… it seems to be fully empty now besides what they just put there for AQP

I feel like that's a lame move on their part. Any "fantastic beast" and/or "magical creature" should be a day-ops addition like Japan, NOT this event.

It’d be cool if SNW did a Villains night. Bowser, Bowser Jr., the Koopa kids, maybe even Wario.

Had heard of the Magical Creatures coming--but I had assumed they'd be for daytime purposes!

Hope this is going to be more of a "Show" like element at the Tri-Wizard area, but I am glad to see this happening.

IF these characters and the little show come to the Day time park then cool

If these events are to introduce new characters and entertainment and we later get it in normal park operations then great but if the Universal owed IPs are being hidden behind the fees not a fan

I get Star Trek is only coming to this but this HP stuff is in Japan, so please come to the general park. Remember how we had back to school event....to me this is when Id have the characters out in the future or summer.

How is this any different than what they do at HHN? The Universal Monsters are park IP but Saskia Van Helsing isn't walking around the park during the day. We don't have to turn everything into a controversy, y'all.

Website has now been updated with WWoHP added in (and with Star Trek also updated to represented what has been already brought up of it being based with The Next Generation).

Because USJ has these for normal guests and is included on normal day time tickets

Should the new castle show in Florida be locked away in paid events at USH as well?

And USH has a lot of things that USJ just straight up doesn't have, period. We shouldn't flatten the parks into a single mono-experience that's exactly the same across the board. I get that theme parks are guilty of nickel-and-diming people, but I don't think this is an example of that at all.
