Universal Creative has just listed a few job adverts for senior positions, based in Orlando but designated as an Expat job (i.e. working on projects based overseas). Like previous senior positions previously listed, these positions are not currently available but the submission of resumes from suitable candidates is being encouraged as part of an initial sourcing effort to identify the right people for the job. Universal Creative regularly recruits for Expat roles, but in most cases it will specify which country the project is located. However, for the positions which they are not actively recruiting no country is specified other than it is an Expat role. There has been speculation that these roles are for the as yet not formally announced theme park development in Bedford.
One of the new roles just listed by Universal Creative is for a
Director for Estimating. According to the job specification from Universal Creative, this role will be responsible for generating initial budget estimates for all projects ranging from new Retail, Restaurants and Attractions, Resort Hotels to
entirely new Theme Parks. Projects will range from $5-500 million for individual facilities, hotels, and attractions, and up to $1-2 billion for
International Theme Park development [my emphasis]. Unless Universal are planning another international theme park that nobody has an inkling about, I'd say this role will include core planning for USGB.
Universal Creative has previously listed some of these Expat roles which aren't yet being actively recruited for. At the moment these positions include :
Director, Engineering & Safety (Show) (Expat)
Director, Engineering & Safety (Expat)
Director, Engineering & Safety (Ride Systems) (Expat)
Director, Engineering & Safety (Controls) (Expat)
Director, Engineering & Safety (Network Systems/Parkwide Systems) (Expat)
