Universal has pushed a memo to TM’s that they’re updating the front entrance music loop of USF to reflect experiences guests will find at the resort. Curious to see when this will launch. Hopefully they leave some of the classics and add to it

Wonder if they meant “at the park” instead of “at the resort”.

Would be weird to hear (for example) the Jurassic Park theme at the USF arch.

I wonder what will change/be added? I can see Beetlejuice theme being removed but I hope some of the Jaws/BTTF scores stay.

In modern times, I can't think of any "updated" music loop that wasn't a downgrade. At any park.

I will respectfully counter with Buena Vista Street at DCA, since I don't think that music loop was a downgrade compared to the licensed music in the former Sunshine Plaza.

I will respectfully counter with Buena Vista Street at DCA, since I don't think that music loop was a downgrade compared to the licensed music in the former Sunshine Plaza.

I should have qualified with Orlando park. My first experience at DCA wasn't until 2023.

There shouldn’t be any argument at the moment because we don’t know what it’ll include! Already writing it off before one lick of soundtrack is heard is pretty cynical.

I have written nothing off! The current USF loop is certainly not completely untouchable (I don't necessarily need to hear LIAR LIAR, BRIDGET JONES'S DIARY, NOTTING HILL, MEET THE PARENTS, etc. in there), but I'm leery about this sort of thing based on past experience (see Epcot for the most glaring example of totally throwing away an entire musical legacy).

I think hearing BACK TO THE FUTURE, JAWS, BEETLEJUICE, APOLLO 13, MEN IN BLACK, E.T., ALWAYS, and CASPER (to name a few) are pretty fundamental to setting the tone upon entering the park. If that's not messed with too much, then great. If it becomes DreamWorks/Illumination pop song driven ("to reflect experiences guests will find at the resort"), that would be a big downgrade to me.

The only information we have is that a change is coming to reflect what guests can experience at the resort. I understand the trepidation of losing some of the favorites like BJ, but declaring "I do not like this" before any change is known is writing it off. Arguing otherwise is just a matter of semantics at this point.

I don't like that they feel the need to change the current loop. I'm happy with it as-is. All things being equal, I'd rather they left it alone.

That doesn't completely foreclose the possibility of the replacement being fine.

If they keep things like this, as well as adding some Dreamworks/Illumination/Potter music, I'm good with that.

I mean, BTTF, Jaws, Beetlejuice, ET and Men in Black ARE all experiences guests will find at the resort.
