Sorry for the double post, but separate topic—

The local stores seem to be beefing up their Nintendo merchandise. The Walmart on John Young and Sandlake rolled out a lot of Nintendo stuff at the front of the store near the theme park souvenir area:

That's funny - I never realized a local Walmart would have theme park souvenirs. lol

The Walmarts and Targets are full of “Disney Florida” stuff! Or at least they were when I lived there.

Yeah, the Walmarts closest to the park especially have pretty large tourist sections with essentials (sun screen, towels, pool floats, etc.) along with tons of licensed character merchandise (Disney, Potter, Minions, Simpsons, etc.). This was the first time I saw them really putting Nintendo up with all that, and it’s not all Walmarts, just the one closest to Epic so far.

Even most Publix (the big local grocery store) in the area have an aisle of Disney merch.

The one near the Vineland Outlets has about 3 to 4 aisles dedicated to Disney stuff with typically a smaller section for Potter and Minions, maybe one Jurassic Park shirt or two.

Apparently Epic universe will only be offering single express. Which will include. Most attractions except donkey Kong and ministry of magic

Out of curiosity, do you get paid by the sentence?

Donkey Kong being excluded from Express is probably a wise move considering its known capacity limitations. Ministry of Magic lacking it is interesting but perhaps not too surprising given Potter headliner precedent, but I bet once they get reliability at a certain level they'll open up that lane.

Again, not discounting the rumors, as I can see them not offering unlimited express at first, but Donkey Kong has its Express sign clearly visible in recent construction photos. But who knows, maybe they’ll cover it up later.

I actually like that idea, depending on the price. I’m going for three days. If I begin running out of time, I can start paying extra for the rides I want to ensure I ride.

I actually liked when Disney used to offer the free fast passes at those kiosks. It made planning your trip a bit easier.

If you’re only offering single express you can quite easily just reduce the availability for those you don’t want to offer it for without making a song and dance about it.

Single use Express means you get to do each ride only once. They already offer single and unlimited Express pass options at Universal Orlando.

It does not mean ala carte per ride.

Unless they are bringing what they do at USJ stateside...(Donkey Kong for the month of December had express passes just for that attraction and the XR ride overlays also had single attraction express)

Ahh yeah. I misunderstood the word single. I still stand by ala cart per ride express would be something I’d enjoy.

now that I live in central FL, these rumors remind me of the old game of telephone -- the story changes depending on how many people told the story before you heard it.

The version I heard would make @Floridaguy34 's version half true :smirk:

Begs the question how will VIP tours be handled that first year. If a group wants to go on, say, dk 5 times can they? or are they going to be limited to one also.

Tour guides are pretty good at getting people to multiple attractions throughout the day. They're limited to 4 or 7 hours, so there's an emphasis on the guides part to get them through every ride available. Standard tours already reach $500+ per person on peak dates, with private tours even more so I doubt you'd waste that kind of money for just one ride.

from the few things I have read by them and things I have heard (also grain of salt stuff), parts of what they are saying seem to have some merit (could just as easily be disinformation as true info) as originating from someone with an NDA.

one thing I have heard from everyone I have talked to that has been on site is how stunning Berk is, so I believe the HTTYD area opinions to be facts :smirk:

Per the current VIP site:

Purchase a 1-Day, 2-Park Experience for a seven hour tour with priority entrance into a minimum of ten rides and attractions, or purchase a 1-Day, 1-Park Experience for a four hour tour with priority entrance into a minimum of eight major rides and attractions at the park of your choice^. Separate theme park admission required.*

As the only guests on this tour, your private group will get exclusive VIP treatment. Build your own itinerary and experience the parks your way with the tour guide s undivided attention and unlimited front-of-the-line access to all participating rides and attractions. Enjoy the perks and benefits listed above plus, sample many of the destination's most popular dishes with a full-service dinner at one of Universal Orlando s award-winning restaurants. In addition, you will receive a My Universal Photos 3-Day Photo Package (Photo package entitlement starts on first day of tour)*.

I assume the numbers of VIP tours will be limited so that if someone wanted to pay thousands of dollars to ride DK over and over again it wouldn't really impact capacity that much. Most folks buying the tour want to see the whole park.

I've been curious about this for a bit and I haven't been able to find anything so I wanted to ask, do we know anything about how Disability Access will work at Epic and if it'll work the same as it does in the other Universal Orlando Parks?
