It's like podcasting to me... How does one wake up one day and decide that they should be a voice that people listen to for entertainment?

In my heyday I turned down many requests to go on podcasts as a guest because I don't think I'm all that interesting.

Nope.

I'm with you on that. I love taking video at the parks. Love editing and posting to YouTube. HATE being on camera.

The parks are the star in my videos. And I do it cause I love it.

I have been wondering how you people got pics from Cabana, so it was cool to see the push down the hallways. I always figured it was an end window or stairwell. Fun.

Yeah, CBBR has windows on the ends of the tower halls. Long walk but if you go back by way of the Hideway it is not rough duty. :)

Seems like millions of people do. It's getting them published and profitable that's the tough part.

That's the approach I took with writing.

There are people who present the info just fine - they exist - but a large part of the incentive for many doing it seems to be a desire to somehow create their own celebrity status.

It's simple things that make the vanity aspect obvious... The camera pointed at them at nearly all times - rarely at the parks they're talking about. The "well I couldn't get to the parks but I wanted to talk about..." uploads.

Blah. I've worked with real celebrities with real star power and they're usually quite humble and not attention whores. They would never feel the need to film a thing about a theme park ride where it's entirely a video selfie of themselves.

The whole culture that has made this a thing is pretty repulsive.

Do they just waltz through the hotel to the windows? I would feel so awkward just walking into a hotel just to take pics of the construction site. If I'm there I feel like I need to be a paying hotel guest. Lol

Could always pick up a snack at Hideaway, or lunch at the diner. I usually at least get a coffee at Starbucks. And I bought a mug at the giftshop too. They're getting money outta me every time I visit in some way.

They get money out of me the 5 times I have stayed since opening. I think if I am respectful of anyone in the rooms there is no problem with my taking a look out the windows. I don't think it is a problem to most.

Yeah I'm definitely a behind the camera person myself. Although I did go on a podcast one day and I was also one of the first people in the US broadcast in HD(thankfully there were only a handful of TV's to see it:)).

A few of the latest twitter posts, nothing much to see in the way of new additions to the site unfortunately.

Is that a second wave generator facing away from the wave pool in that big concrete building at the base of the volcano? Is that for the not-so-lazy river?

I'm really digging the colors of the slides. I do always prefer when the slides are built into terrain (Disney does a good job of that), but this Caribbean mod vibe I'm getting is very pleasing.

What do you think that long cable reaching to the square platform in the center is all about?

And, why is one side of the volcano dropping vertically so fast and not sloping. Hmmm.

It could just be a support cable to stop it toppling over.

I assume that only one side of the volcano skeleton is currently being built. They will add all the bits they need inside and then close it over with the remaining steel needed.
