I may be misremembering, but I feel like they built a decently sized queue for Krakatau. If it fills up, it hits capacity, I guess. The rest of the towers have plenty of stairs to manage their queues.

Realizing in real time that it's confusing that both the volcano and the aqua coaster are called Krakatau, but the latter isn't directly part of the former... That said, doesn't the aqua coaster's "temple" like structure have a decent amount of back and forth/winding pathways upward to get to the load platform? I swear there were a few spots where limited switchbacks could be installed.

There's not that much queue, maybe 45-60 mins worth? They could always artificially increase the wait to deter people from joining in.

They did test this out in 2023, and ended up building a temporary switchback queue in the main pathways.

Yes, and a large part of it directly in the sun. I'm good!

I've only been able to ride Krakatau at rope drop, and then I've often done two times in a row without getting out (once three times)!

One other time I tried to Tapu around 4:00 and it said it was full for the day.

Not sure how this changes anything.

So there is enough queue space to handle normal lines? I figured Tapu would make it so they could get away with shorter lines since guests would be elsewhere in the park until it was their time.

Only viable solution would be some sort of color-coded bracelet that has your designated return time (like printed on it)? Like the old fastpass system, but with a bracelet you can wear and then turn in when it's your turn. (Red 10AM-11AM, Blue 11AM-12PM, etc.)

What if we made the bracelets interactive? Like maybe Universal could build something where a guest could tap the bracelet on something and get a return time automatically. It could even be displayed on a little screen like a smartwatch on the bracelet.

I dunno though, the tech may not be there yet.

I go often, arrive around 12, tap into the ride, mess around for two hours, ride it, then off to the dry theme parks. This changes everything for me.
