Bmg is pushing discounted tickets during the christmas season. That does not bode well.

They've been pushing discounted tickets for Florida residents all year long, this doesn't mean there's anything wrong.

Bump!
So Super Smash Bros 4 just came out and it is a master piece. Nintendo has so much to offer and who isn't familiar with Mariokart? I think this could be such a great new area. Maybe a Mario Kart themed rollercoaster similar to test tracks. An E-ticket themed to supersmash bros and maybe evenn a donkey kong themed area. They could even do a bowser's castle. Everyone is familiar with Nintendo characters and it's something that is going to be relevant for a very long time because they keep coming out with new game counsols and new games.

I doubt they would get rid of Toon Lagoon and I really hate saying this but what about Lost Continebt? I feel like that would be too small though..

I'm not seeing this happen. First of all Nintendo is very protective of their brand. Secondly not everyone knows or likes Nintendo games and for a theme park setting they lack story. Finaly, the WiiU is the worst selling console ever.

That's a big exaggeration. While it's sales could be better, they're making huge money off of Smash and Amiibos.

The issue with Nintendo is that they will not license their characters to United States companies. If anything we could potentially see something in Universal Japan first, but we will never see it in the US parks. Nintendo is very adamant about this because of the failure of the Super Mario Bros movie. After that, Nintendo said they would never do it again, this is also why there hasn't been an animated Mario cartoon in 20+ years.

Personally I don't see it happen either, but never say never ... Personally I'd rather see a Legend of Zelda land, but then you could easily visualize an entire Nintendo park.
As for the Wii U not selling well, true financially it is disappointing, but it is probably the best console ever, where everybody is focusing on hardware specs, Wii U goes for something new, I think the only reason why it is not doing better is because it is ahead of its time. Anyway, regardless of the sale of the Wii U, Nintendo remains a huge property and its creations such as Zelda and Mario stand apart from the sale of consoles.

Someone always has to bring up the 'what if' with video games(Nintendo basically). As others have stated, it won't happen. Universal doesn't need them and Nintendo is a major pain to work with. You'll see Lord of the Rings or DC Comics long before you'd see Nintendo in the parks.

In answer to the original post in this thread, I think IOA needs another show of some sort, a few more flat rides spread throughout, and another two or three dark rides to really fill the park up.

Does everyone know what Harry Potter is? Nope. How about Suess? Nope Marvel? Nope Toon Lagoon? Hell no.

There are plenty of characters from nintendo that are popular enough to have their own area. I'm pretty sure WiiU is a huge gaming consoul, but I wouldn't know the whole story behing that because I am not a gaming troll like some people on here.

IOA just needs some love, updated effects, bigger refurbs and just overall sweat out into it. It's already my personal favorite park but right now it's a bit outdated, Seuss is getting busted, JP needs more attractions, toon lagoon needs to add more to Dudley along with a possible retheme, marvel needs to add more theming to their attractions and LC needs all the help it can get. Just adding more simple effects like projection mapping or updated AAs would turn this already A+ Park to an A++ park
