It appears to be.

Is this a roaming Kuka, like Harry Potter, or stationary, like Sum of All Thrills?

The Stark Flight Lab sounds like kind of a unique approach for what will essentially fill the role of a flat ride.

It looks like they're going to move in a very simple, open-air loop.

The way I see it is, Aquatopia and Sum of a Thrills had a baby, your “pod” will move around the circle and you will be randomly assigned a kuka arm to pick you up. So each time you ride you could get a different kuka/ride profile

I feel like there will have to be some preference as to how you want your vehicle to move. Thrill seekers will want something more thrilling but more motion sensitive people will want something less thrilling.

If construction on both Avengers rides starts next year I assume 2027 could still be one the table for an opening but since it's two I wonder if 2028 is more likely.

I feel bad for Paris since they now have the worst Avengers Campus.

Now that the smoke has cleared some from the plethora of announcements, here's my take:

I really like the new entrance path. It gives me Epcot vibes.

I'm a little more excited for the ride now after seeing the concept art...I still can't help but think SCREENZ when I see the ride vehicle and the concept.

Last year at Destination D23 they said Avengers Infinity Defense will blend media with large practical set pieces. Here's hoping they go for the Beijing Jurassic World ride approach with the screen to set size ratio.

Same here! although to your wish, iger would say: “lol no”. Because it’ll get budget cut and possibly delayed or cancelled . Of course since this time it seems like it’s actually going to get built, I hope they have a good mix of physical sets and animatronics. But I worry that it’ll be like 90% screens. Here’s hoping it all turns out good (and that it won’t take them 8 years to build it).

From this recent OC Register article:

"Disneyland has taken the initial steps to begin backstage preparations for the expansion of Avengers Campus that will add two new attractions and double the size of the Marvel themed land at Disney California Adventure.

Disneyland has submitted a plan to the city of Anaheim for Avengers Campus expansion prep work that is currently under review, according to city officials.

The plan submitted by Disneyland addresses utilities, temporary trailers and parking lots in the backstage area behind Avengers Campus that would be impacted by the expansion.

The prep work plan is a procedural step that takes place before the city grants a demolition permit and before Disneyland submits plans for the Avengers Campus expansion.

The Avengers Campus expansion is not part of the recently approved $1.9 billion DisneylandForward plan, according to city officials.

furthermore here is my timeline for the DCA additions announced at D23 2024:

Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab: Break ground in early 2025, ride(s) debuts Spring 2027 to coincide with Secret Wars.

Coco: Breaks ground 2026 debuts in 2028. This is also the perfect attraction to have for the tourism boost LA2028 will provide

Avatar: While no construction timeline has been given as of now, my guess is it will break ground at some point in 2026, perhaps once the 70th Anniversary celebrations wrap. I also believe it will be going in Hollywoodland over the Simba lot for a couple of reasons.

First I believe Disney would want to address this troubled relic from DCA 1.0 first before they branch out into the Simba lot. They don't want another Tomorrowland situation with HL. Second, James Cameron. Cameron is involved with this Avatar land like he was with AK's. I think he would have objections to the PPH looming over the land if it were placed in the Simba lot. As an added bonus, you can work on construction of Avatar in conjunction with the EGW.

Avatar will more than likely be debuting mid-late 2029. Gotta get that synergy with part 4.

We will see on avatar

The land in pics looks much bigger then what could be in Hollywood unless the ride is taking up like half the land and they have a good way to transition from the other lands to a river jungle land really quickly

Yeah, I personally think there's no way that Avatar is replacing Hollywood.

This land will take up a ton of space unless you boil it down to it's essence of nothing but rides (a la Star Tours at DHS), and Cameron won't let that happen. I know Disney doesn't really care about sightlines that much, but there's simply no way that you walk into California Adventure and you head left for a couple blocks into a water and/or jungle world and then into the concrete jungle of Avengers. It would also be harder to block out Mission Breakout than Paradise Pier hotel as you can put a giant floating rock on one side that won't look completely weird from Avengers campus. Simba lot is self-contained and could be surrounded by mountains that will block anything else.

I think a 2027 opening for anything is optimistic due to Disney being slow, but I'd love to see it. Galaxy's Edge took 3.25 years to complete as I recall.

If Avatar goes into Simba, then the best bet to address Hollywoodland would be to expand Avengers Campus into it.

There was an article that came out after D23 Brazil in the OC Register where Josh D'Amaro was quoted saying: "Kevin (Feige) puts a lot of pressure on me." "He wants more, he wants bigger." That could be a hint they want to expand further after Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab.
