Any level of pass can get the tickets, and any space left will be filled by whomever is there at the time. (If there are any seats left) I think its just to avoid a few crazy folks camping out.

Probably not but the GP shouldn't be discriminated over it. Twister sucked even more but anybody could've seen the final show. Also what about the preferred or power pass holders? They go a ton yet they don't matter because they didn't pay even more for a shiny AP? It just feels wrong yknow?

AP Events are not a form of discrimination. They're a perk of being a passholder.

Oh jeez, if they had to extend the show because of crowds... next year around this time, with KidZone, Disaster, BJ, and Twister closed is gonna be a bigger nightmare. Hopefully more crowds shuffle to IOA for Kong and Hulk to prevent it from being too nightmare-ish at Studios.

I said this a long time ago in another post. I feel Spring Break will be awful if Kidzone is taken down before Hulk and Kong are back up. Studios really does need more capacity. On even slightly busy days waits are pretty bad.

There's a difference between an AP event and keeping away a final showing of a theme park attraction to the public away from them on its final day. AP events should be stuff like special dinners or exclusive parties. Maybe a special showing of beetlejuice but not the final one. I'm sure you'd all be angry if the final rides of jaws was an AP only thing, wouldn't you all be upset if the final show of T2 was AP only? it's the same basic thing. I'm all for AP events but something like this shouldn't be one

Universal has done this before when Kongfrontation closed in 2002. Final ride was for AP Holders and Media. It's nothing new, and am glad they are bringing back. Perks are called "perks" for a reason.

But how many people REALLY did Woody Woodpecker coaster and Barney? And those two playgrounds?

Really? Aww that must've sucked. I think some of you are a tad bit biased on the subject because you are pass holders and something like this doesn't apply to you. If I was an AP holder I'd probably say "to bad so sad" as well. Perks are one thing but I think it's unfair. Pretty much it

Who on God's earth would be disappointed that they can't see the last Beetlejuice show?
Honestly not many, but you never know. Twister got a huge fan thing thrown for the final day so if people really cared about that garbage then there must be some group for BJ. Also I'd be disappointed if I happened to be there that day, found out it was the final show, then denied at the gate because the pass I bought wasn't good enough. Also quality of the show aside, final shows are always a good time

Are you unbiased as you're not a passholder?

Is it fair? No. Some people get to do it and some people don't. But there is a strong correlation between people who are big fans of Universal and people who are passholders. Universal is doing something special for their most loyal customers by having an exclusive event. It makes the passholders feel appreciated while incentivizing the passholder program to potential future passholders such as yourself.

You know, sometimes I wonder why some of you are Universal fans. Twister wasn't a bad attraction, just one that stayed far past its prime. The latest incarnation of Beetlejuice is pretty awful, but previous versions have been suitably entertaining.

What exactly got you invested in the parks if you seem to dislike most of the existing attractions...?

I don't think he's saying that a pass holder shouldn't have special things...he is just saying the "last ride" of something shouldn't be one of them. There are a lot of people who don't live in Florida who can't afford a season pass but might love this attraction and would be highly disappointed to be shut out due to not being a VIP. I'm not a fan of Beetlejuice, but I know that if I was there and this was Twister or Back to the Future that I would be upset if it happened to me.

But they aren't getting "shut out", they just aren't getting to see the Final Show. There are 4-5 other shows on the last day they can enjoy.

I'd be inclined to think those who are adamant about seeing the last show are those with passes. This likely affects less than 1%.

I'm gonna get my first preferred pass very soon. I get what you mean but when you say it's not fair, that's my case entirely. The APs should get something like a party at monsters cafe with an exclusive meet and greet, not a final showing of a universal staple

Do you go to the final day of HHN and feel satisfied doing the third show of bill and ted knowing the final one is hours away? Same deal. You never know, this was publically announced to close unlike other rides recently. Could get a bigger thing than anticipated

And those adamant on seeing the last show of B&T are the die-hards who have FFP and can recite every line. The last show isn't meant for the GP, it's meant for the die-hards to enjoy.

I understand your point and think it's valid; I'm just not sure I agree with it. While I would be upset if I was restricted from a special Universal event, I feel like Universal is giving something extra here instead of taking something away.
