Halloween at Universal Orlando 2020

Technically couldn’t this just be precaution making sure brides and toothfairy have enough actors?
I think that this is probably just casting for anything they think they may need. All casting is done via online submissions anyway, so it costs them nothing. This is probably a security blanket as the likelihood (unfortunately) is that some scareactors will go out with COVID.

It’s not something that Universal can totally control either as far as contracting COVID as casts tend to hang out after work, go to bars, etc.

IMO, Universal needs to invest in 15-minute COVID tests to do testing on everyone in these casts at least once per week.

I’d be very curious about whether any houses would carry over into next year. IPs and their rights holders being kind of unclear going into next year might be a nice opportunity to do all-original houses again, ala 15.
At it stands, the only house not expected to return is Eillish.
I do find it ironic the icons merch is flying off the shelves, but the corporate consensus is that the icons don’t sell enough merch and they can make more money by combining orders with HHNH. Why not do more of both in the future?
The old icon merch sells. Chance merch didn’t sell all that well.

Even the retro icon stuff is a little misleading. Most of it is selling its stuff that most current fans have never had access to. The hype over the “Terra Queen” merch ignores the fact that it’s primarily HHN 15 merch. It just has the Terra Queen on it.

There’s a reason the bulk of the “icon” merch is more like “Jack and Friends” merch.

man if Texas comes back next year and not billie I’m gonna be so upset. I’m guessing it’s because orlando already didn’t want to do a billie house in the first place?
Eillish wasn’t near completion (unlike nearly all the houses), and rumor is her look is changing next year. This was the year the iron was hot for her. Next year, it very likely won’t be.

Yeah, she's gonna be moving on to a new album, so doing a house based on her debut album would be odd from an image standpoint on her end. The only thing that may save it is that Billy herself is a big fan of the event so she still may want to be a part of it.

So you’re saying that the tweet is referring to the stuff already announced? I see that now being that HHN never tweeted about it.

It’s just a tweet. Not everything is a hint, foreshadowing, or more. Could more houses be announced? Sure. Unlikely imho but it’s possible. Better to be pleasantly surprised than try and hype up an event that it isn’t.

Both parks need to and pay employees while they wait for the tests to complete.

I agree, the 15-min tests aren't that expensive. I know they aren't completely accurate, but at least it'd be something. This is something I don't think is unreasonable at all if you are being forced to work in close quarters with others for extended periods of time many days per week. And I say "forced" because yes, they are pretty much forcing TM's to either come back to work or be out of a job, which is unfortunate. In the poor job market that especially Orlando has right now, people simply can't afford to lose their jobs (at least most can't), meaning they have to come in and risk their health.

Universal is taking advantage of this, which is just corporate greed on full display.

You're right-- I should have said I expect it from what I've been told, but temper expectations until it happens. There is a history of last minute changes and cancellations, especially in this uncertain time.

what is the likelihood of doing scareactor dining but in smaller groups for distancing or something? or only masked characters?
