Keep in mind, these are slightly older plans. Theater doesn’t match the final design in site plans, and windmill quick service is missing, but it’s all pretty close.

I don't think there is a restaurant in the center of the land too, so it's definitely older.

With that being said, it is nice to see a river in front of the castle going into the "expansion plot." Makes it seem like the rumored Creature from the Black Lagoon's attraction for the land was something that was always going to happen (in the future).

Good to hear if this is relatively it, seems to fit the model that was leaked awhile ago!

Personally, I want that theater show badly. Idk what it even is, but I want it.

It really does not look like any of the Castles Frankenstein depicted in the classic movies. FRANKENSTEIN/BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN don't even really feature a castle, but an abandoned tower where Frankenstein conducts his experiments:

Given that there was never a consistent look, it makes sense that Universal might want to create a new design for the land. I just wish it didn't look like they took some of the same elements from Hogwarts (the large, pointed "sorcerer's hat" turret and the flat-faced section leading to a point and flanked by smaller turrets) and slightly reoriented them. But maybe it's just a placeholder exterior.

Like I said, this is older. Later versions have it designed as Frankenstein Manor, more like a gothic mansion—along with a tower for experiments.

The problem with getting drips and drabs of concept art like this is we tend to only see one artist’s exploration on a project, but there could’ve been dozens. Pieces that everyone likes from each are mashed into the final version. But not any one of these early concerts conveys the whole picture.

It’s early art, as in, it’s not accurate to the final product.

If I recall the leaked model of the land seemed to look far more “Manor” than this so that makes sense.

One thing that seems to be consistent though is, treeeeees.

Gimme a Turkey leg and an original IPA (a la JW IPA) and I’m there every night on my vacation to end the day. Genuinely, but very much so if I’m at/can afford an Epic hotel.

Oh HELL yes. Wow I could see this as one of the best rides in epic, seems like the dark ride we’ve all been waiting for.
Ohohoho this has got me even more excited. Especially if it's true that we're getting actual top-notch animatronics of the monsters, and they're gonna get right into our faces ala the Dementors in Forbidden Journey.

My only slight concern (and it's not really a concern at all) is that I hope the movement of the ride vehicle is also differentiated from Forbidden Journey. Keep the two attractions as distinct from each other as is possible while still accomplishing what you need the vehicle to accomplish.

Beyond that, it's easily shaping up to be my most anticipated ride in the park.
