Was on park today and was lucky enough to see the Marmaliser screens testing, looked awesome.

Also found this video, it is the intro to the game but it is quite acurate to what we will end up with.

I agree with you about Saw, I can hardly bear to ride iy these day. Shouldn't be a problem with the Smiler though, I believe it is the train design that causes the problems with Saw the Smilers trains are totally different. Heres hoping anyway.

Lets hope! I can only bare Saw if I stick my head out which doesn't make the ride very enjoyable anyway.

Nice ducks Brer

Just a small update for you today due to having a lack of sleep and a stinking hangover. Dedicated to the cause I arrived on park straight from a wedding still dressed in my best trousers and shirt to grab you todays shots.

In the game the "bridge" is support for CCTV theming and screens, wonder if we will be getting these?

Thanks to Ready_23 & Ma®©us for the screen grabs

This is where they were welding the other day, it seems like it was just a general repair and not for a camera. The scaffolding is now down.

Finally, a different view point.

Back on park today, Lift hill, new paving and fencing seemed the main focus today. There were workers everywhere they look to be busting a gut to get this thing open.

The Smiler viral marketing. This video has appeared on Alton Towers you tube channel. It goes a little way into explaining the rides back story, expect more to come.

They have part 2 of the smiler videos up. There was something i noticed of the Smiler page that seemed to indicate a may 31 opening. I'm not sure if this has been discussed before but here is a picture of what i saw that seems to indicate a may 31 opening

Here is part 2

The doctor in the video is Dr Kelman he was the main character in the recent scare maze at Alton Towers, the music featured is also from the same maze.

Me with Dr Kelman

SanctuaryLastDay_-20_zps38368f6d.jpg

More Sanctuary photos here

I posted the video in this link way back in January, same girl as in the 2 recent ones?

From what I am hearing the 18th of May is possible opening date, The media have an event on the 17th and I know the Sanctuary is to open once more to coincide with the ride opening, the Sanctuary actors have been booked for the 18th. This is all dependant on the ride being ready ofcourse. Latest is that all footers are concreted in and the incorrect support has been fixed, we have seen photos of the trains on track so all should be ready to go with testing very soon. Keep those fingers crossed and remember Smile. Always
