:faint: A wingrider would be amazing. I have always wanted to ride one and I think, seeing the layout pictures it might be possible

Sorry but it is not going to be a wingrider.

Also, what color were the supports you saw?

By the layout of the footers and the size of the trenches it is supposed to run through. It looks unlikely at this point.

This. All of the trenches are only 15 feet wide. That along with some other things, but yes we are 100% sure it will not be a wingrider. Fear not, I am sure with the two across seating it will still be one hell of a ride.

Also, 2 across seating, 4 cars per train, with 2 rows on each car, that means 16 people per train and (most likely) 5 trains total.

Edit: I drove by the area where the supports were supposed to be and didn't see anything. There were some old train wheels out there, and I did notice the cheetah topiary back there, but nothing that resembled supports. Maybe I missed it, any chance you can snag a picture? Also I just put up a quick photo update of Project 2011 construction over at BGTGuide: http://www.bgtguide.com/bgt/project2011/photosjuly6 lots of monorail building deconstruction going on.

Don't they mean skyride, not monorail?

And what's the point of putting down sod if they're going ot have to rip it up to build the coaster?

Well it is actually the monorail building, the Skyride building is right next to it. But you are right, the monorail has been gone for so long, I should be calling it the Skyride building to avoid confusion. Better yet, I think we can officially start calling it the new roller coaster station. I was thinking the same thing about the grass, but I am sure to Busch Gardens, spending some money to lay down grass now and have it look good for a few months is more important than having the area look torn up right now.

Thats what I couldn't understand, we must be a ways away from vertical construction. I guess they will work on this in phases, and close off certain points only when absolutely necessary. I mean to lay all that sod only to ruin most of it in a couple of months just bothers me a little.

old habits die hard... I've always referred to it as the monorail building myself.

laying grass right now in areas where they will be working is just to make it look good, sod is cheap in bulk and on top of that we dont know when they are going to be digging that trench so it could be like that for 3-4 months...

Hello everyone,

There's a new update on RCPro that features the opening of the new all you can eat pizza and pasta buffet at Garden Gate Cafe. Also, there's some decent progress coming out of the 2011 project (half of the monorail platform is GONE).
