The new MO of the park will be experiencing the non-traditional Disney movies. There will be light theming to the rest of Hollywood but you get the idea.

So I believe LMA and the Honey I Shrunk The Kids playground will be closing by Christmas. Along with SOA.

I would hardly call SOA an attraction, but I have to wonder, will be there be something to replace what has already closed before more stuff closes? At the rate Disney is going, they should offer half-price tickets to this park, and even $50 seems a little high for what is there.

DHS is a joke, and Disney thinks no one will care till past 2020 that it is. But the thing is they're WRONG. Let me just say, there will be lots of talk come late August.

Disney/MGM Studios was only built because of Universal coming to town, and Eisner rushed it to get it open before Universal. Universal had been planning a studio/park for Orlando since the early 80s, well before Disney was even an itch in Eisner's pants.

I highly recommend reading Universal vs Disney by Sam Gennawey for more history around this time. It's strongly reported that Universal made presentations to Paramount when Eisner was running that studio about the Universal Florida project. It was with that information that Eisner then took to Imagineering and created D-MGM Studios.

Yep. A big reason why DHS is such a dead ended mess is that it was seriously rushed. Universal Studios had been in the planning stages since the early 1980's, and D/MGM was more reactionary than anything.
