Assassins Creed Odyssey, looks amazing. Loving the turn to more RPG-Like mechanics with Assassins Creed flair. It's what I wanted the series to go, as it also seems like your choices will matter finally too, which is great to hear.

So apparently, CD Project Red hid this in the trailer of Cyberpunk 2077...
It's been over 2077 days since we announced our plan to develop Cyberpunk 2077. We released a CGI trailer, gave some interviews and... went dark. Normal procedure for these kinds of things - you announce a game and then shut up, roll up your sleeves, and go to work. We wanted to give you The Witcher 3 and both expansions first, which is why this period of staying silent was longer than we planned. Sorry for that.

As soon as we concluded work on Blood and Wine we were able to go full speed ahead with CP2077's pre-production. But we chose to remain silent. Why? At some point, we made a decision to resume talking about the game only when we have something to show. Something meaningful and substantial. This is because we do realise you've been (im)patiently waiting for a very long time, and we wouldn't want anyone to feel that we're taking this for granted. On the contrary - it gives us a lot of extra motivation. The hype is real, so the sweat and tears need to be real, too :).

But to the point. Today is the day. If you're seeing this, it means you saw the trailer - our vision of Cyberpunk, an alternative version of the future where America is in pieces, megacorporations control all aspects of civilised life, and gangs rule the rest. And, while this world is full of adrenaline, don't let the car chases and guns mislead you. Cyberpunk 2077 is a true single player, story-driven RPG. You'll be able to create your own character and..., well, you'll get to know the rest from what we show at our booth at E3. Be on the lookout for previews!

Before we finish, you probably have some questions, right?

  1. When? When we told you we would only release the game when it's ready, we meant it. We're definitely much, much closer to a release date than we were back then :), but it's still not the time to confirm anything, so patience is still required. Quality is the only thing that drives us - it's the beauty of being an independent studio and your own publisher.
  2. How big? Seriously big, but..., to be honest, we have no bloody clue at this point in time. Once we put it all together, we will openly tell you what you can expect. And we promise we'll do this before we start talking about any pre-orders or ask anything of you.
  3. Free DLC/Expansions/DRM? Expect nothing less than you got with The Witcher 3. As for DRM, CP2077 will be 100% DRM-free on PC.
  4. Microtransactions? In a single player role-playing game? Are you nuts?
Once again, thank you for your patience. If you have a minute, do visit cyberpunk.net and share your opinion (about anything) with us. We read everything you post and we treat it very seriously.

Yours, CD PROJEKT RED Team

Xbox just announced another exclusive, this time from Bohemia Interactive.

Vigor is a survival game (NOT battle royale!) where you go out into the post-apocalyptic world of Norway.

Details:

-12 people in each encounter (which you can choose to go to and leave at any time), all online players.

-Your home base is your shelter and can be used to craft weapons.

-If you die in the encounter, you drop everything and can be looted (your home base stuff is safe).

-Has airdrops.

-You need blueprints to craft. You can break down a weapon to get the blueprint.

-Straight-up PVP, no team play at launch (it sounds like), but they have plans for additions down the road.

-You can win the "encounter" without killing.

-You can just go stealth, collect loot and materials and get out without ever getting into a conflict.

-There's a progression system tied to the shelter, not the player, and improves your "homebase."

There’s rumblings you shouldn’t expect it the next few years #NextGen

Ubi’s confernce was pretty blah outside of Beyond Good and Evil

Outside of Odyssey, I do agree, but I do think Ubisoft had more of a fun atmosphere than EA and felt more varied than Bethesda to where those are still above for me.

Rankings
EA - 4/10
Micro - 8.5/10
Beth - 7/10
Square - 6.5/10
Ubisoft - 7.5/10

Actually, rumors are saying that the trailer was the start of a one-year media blitz, and they're showing gameplay tomorrow. Will most likely be a fall-2019 release.

I am confused, what game are you refering to? If it's Cyberpunk, where exactly is that rumor coming from?

I think what we saw with CP, will be what we get publicly...but, inside closed doors, I think, will be where people will find things with intrigue.

Ubi above Bethesda? Nah. That’s the only one that’s showcased the most good games haha

I will be surprised if that comes out before 2020, considering how stupidly huge it is

Cyberpunk. They have a booth at E3.

Yes, but that doesn't exactly mean what they will show to journalists and press, will be accessible to media. Closed door's demos, can and will happen for E3, and it wouldn't be shocking to see CD Project Red keep the footage internally, as they are probably in alpha's or even then, prototypes.

Well, we'll see tomorrow. That's when all this is supposed to go down.

Keep in mind, they started making this game at least six years ago. They said they'll announce it when it was ready, and they have. No way that this game is next-gen.

After that Star Fox announcement I’m fearing that the Retro Star Fox Racing game is real. 4 years of development for a Star Fox racer.

Yeesh.

Nah. This is probably the second game in that cycle. That had another game that wasn’t working. Plus, as long as it’s great I don’t care how long it took
