Fallout 76 looks really interesting. I like that not many people will be on the server with you, and if multiplayer isn't your thing, you can just play single player.
Doom 2 excites me because it's nice to have a game with mindless gore and action. And the music.

I think it's a bit generic, but so are most of Bethesda's logos, so .

Generic works for this, and it kinda gave me a Cloverfield/Interstellar vibe.

On a side note, both Starfield and Elder Scrolls are next generation console games, and Halo: Infinite (which might be open world) & GTA VI are rumored to be as well. Cyberpunk 2077 could also be pushed back. Playground (developers of Forza Horizon) is planning an open world game NOT based on racing. Gears 6 will probably be in production shortly.

Xbox will likely have a new console out in 2020, given the fact that they already announced it. So that’s a great lineup to start out with.

They just bought out 5 new studios, plus they have exclusives coming from other companies.

Yeah, they announced they were working on it at their briefing. Probably going to have a 2020 release date.

Haha, first person shooters are SO much better with mouse and keyboard, and I love that Microsoft has begun to release all of their exclusives on PC, (Still waiting on that Bungie trilogy port) but it means that there is almost no reason to own an xbox over a PC.

Ehh, I feel better with a controller in my hand. Feels natural.

Motion pointer controls are good for FPS as well. People also like gyro.

I disagree, when the movement of your wrist is directly connected to your character's head, it is insanely more fluid, and this is coming from someone who grew up on the 360 playing Minecraft, Halo, Portal, all on controller. When I switched over to PC, I noticed how much better I was at these games, Bioshock Infinite is a piece of cake on any difficulty now, and Doom 2016 is as natural as breathing with a mouse.

Do you own a PC, or just an Xbox? I own both, and I find M&K much better.

No joke. It’s much more fluid than an analog stick. Play Metroid Prime 3 on the Wii to see what I mean or get the Trilogy version if you’re willing to fork over the cash for a physical copy. If you have a Wii U it’s $20 to download from the eShop which is a STEAL.

All it is is pointing to aim and just moving your wrist is enough. Regular buttons do pretty much everything else.

From my experience, motion controls are tiring during long play sessions. They seem fun for a bit, but M&K can be played for HOURS.

I'm also not dogging on controllers, they're perfect for almost all 2D sidescrolling games, and games like Dark Souls are almost exclusively enjoyable using controllers. I'm just saying that first person movement is made for M&K.

Sounds like when Nintendo confirmed the “NX” in 2015.

Considering how the PS5 looms nearer, and that I would expect that Microsoft want's to have the XBOX hold itself till about 2020, it makes sense in my opinion that Bethesda announced Starfield, as it will be a major mark for their company, more-so than Skyrim, because of the leap to new IP.

And yes, I think Starfield is 2020, and I think that because it really seemed clear of Todd Howard's wording.

The pointer to aim is pretty much the same energy used as moving a mouse. You’re not flailing around or anything which is what most people think when they hear “motion controls.” Here, take a TV remote and sit down somewhere in front of your TV. Rest your arm and simply use your hand and wrist to aim at different parts of the TV. That’s pretty much how it works. Turning is simply aiming far in whatever direct you want to turn in.

Imo it’s the best use for motion controls. I wish I could’ve played DOOM with that exact control scheme.

Ehhhh with that control scheme you have to hold up your forearms, whereas with M&K your wrist rests on your desk. Not great for long playtime sessions with motion controls.

I’ve played hours upon hours of Metroid Prime Trilogy and other non flailing Wii games. You don’t have to hold up your arms. Simply moving my hand around with my arm rested worked fine.
