I'm going to try not to read or watch too much about the ride even though I don't expect to ride it for years. I didn't expect anything more than a fun family hit with impressive visuals and that seems to be what we got.

I have always been in that camp that didn't care much for Epcot. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would when my family took my little nephew the other day, but the whole vibe of the trip was completely different from how I would usually do a theme park. I also didn't pay for the tickets so I was in passholder mode just chilling and wondering where to eat. It was great, and I'm excited to go back again in the future when the park isn't a construction zone.

My BP has been high lately and two days after marathoning Iron Gwazi I looked at Mission Space with a ride now wait and thought I'd better skip it just to be safe .

I can't think of a coaster that makes me feel like Mission Space...Its intensity is not talked about enough...Surprising for a company like Disney lol

I guess this is me being nit-picky here, but I’m a little disappointed about the track list. It’s way too straight-up 80’s. I understand there’s a certain aesthetic they have to go for, but the era of music that’s usually on Star Lord’s mixtapes was around late 60’s to early 80’s. Most of the songs used in both movies and on MB were from the 70’s. Maybe they went more for the 80’s music as that is what GotG 3 and Thor will focus on?

Eh, I was hoping for more 70’s funk or classic rock.

Thats my thought as well. Thors latest trailer with the Guardians screams 80s. I can only hope that somehow Thor got into 80’s music and he made a third mixtape for SL.

The ride film was filmed alongside the filming for GotG 3, so it’s possible that movies music leans more 80’s which was the reason for the decision.

Epcot opened in the 80s! That's when Peter Quill visited. This is his...EPCOT mix?

Mission Breakout has such a good track list, it's really disappointing that they didn't seem to quite hit to right tone for what a "Awesome Mixtape" has been.

Yeah, one of Mission Breakout's many strengths is the track list it has. Personally, I like every song they chose and even though only one song is actually used in the films, all the others really fit the tone and work great!

Something that also works with MB is each song has its own unique drop profile, making each one truly stands out on their own. You can't really do that on a coaster unless there's some significant projection changes etc which I'm hearing nothing to indicate that'll happen. So with that, I feel there might be a case where some songs are gonna' be better to hear on the ride than others.

I agree, but I feel like it was a missed opportunity to play some good 70’s rock in the ride that weren’t featured on MB. Would’ve been great to hear Layla by Derek and the Dominos, Joe Walsh, or ELO on the ride. I feel like hearing songs from any of those groups would be a lot more fun than hearing Tears for Fears…..but I digress. People like, it sounds like a fun ride, and that’s all that really matters.

I need more info on the forces

I've heard the launch is a bust, but I'm holding out hope that there's a somewhat thrilling helix or something

I know it’s not going to be completely immersive like Everest but I am very curious about the depth of field provided by the wrap around screens. Is it convincing-ish or more abstracted like ghost galaxy / SM Star Wars overlay? I’m not a skeptical either way. Despite Disney’s recent missteps, it’s hard to debate the quality of the attractions when they go all in.

Rumor has it the reason CMs were skipping the main queue was for a "special surprise". Wonder if this is it.

With the way the ride starts and “jumps” into the coaster portion…they had the perfect opportunity to use Van Halen’s “Jump”and just fumbled that one completely.

Cannot wait to ride this regardless though.

I guess Disney must've been quick to take it down because I can't find anything on YT or Insta.

I deleted my Twitter yesterday as I do not tolerate #Hate or #Violence by #Billionaires

It's a shame that CM is probably going to get the proverbial boot

I feel the same way I do about the first footage we saw of Mario Kart. Neat visuals, but I can't parse how the ride vehicle is actually moving through the space.

Gotta wait for that SoCal 360 video that absolutely destroys the illusion.
