Agreed. I believe we can all say this is dead for WDW and leave it at that. The other logistical issue would be shutting down a ride in a park that is already low on capacity. I think until TSL is up and running nothing is shutting down in DHS.

I honestly can't really believe what I just read. I just lost a fair amount of respect for Niles' opinion.

There's been a lot of bizarre things said over there in the past year or two. Along with the nearly complete death of their forums, and the site being really slow to load articles, I've just about completely quit reading or posting over there. That was my original go to site before I discovered OU. I might post two or three comments a month there now & that's it. There's absolutely no insider info over there anymore. But a heck of a lot of strange opinions.

Not sure where you get this. Their forums are incredibly vibrant in terms of daily posts. I only stick around the WDW News & Rumors there and if I don't check for even a day, I fall way behind on some threads.

I don't even really bother too much with Spirit's threads either because those are just impossible to keep up with and I can't stand his posting style.

Sorry but you have the wrong site. Niles is Theme Park Insider.....Yes, the WDW Magic Forums are strong & vibrant. Probably the only Forums with more postings than OU.

Just bumping this, rumors are heating up once again of GotG imminent presence in WDW...

After many go arounds of me and others throwing out every conceivable option in hopes of finding what attraction and which Park the axe will fall in, what seems to be rising to the top is a Universe of Energy replacement...

Hopefully more will come out soon

As bad as it would be to have Guardians in Epcot, it would still be an easier pill to swallow than losing Tower of Terror.

The other site continues to heat up that Guardians (if it comes) may be in rollercoaster form and it will not be the only change to Future World in the near future...not sure what to think

Definitely a Guardian's thrill ride would be much better than Ellen's boring Universe

I honestly want something to go through, selfishly, so we can finally deal with the reality of Disney placing GotG smack dab in WDW and watch the fall out.

If there is none then for all we thought we knew, we really knew nothing (either when contract was written or what may have recently transpired)

Just like Spiderman in the Avengers they had a plan B if they couldn't get the rights. I have a strong feeling Disney and Universal have talked or the push for this franchise would not be as far along as it has been. I know there are members of both boards here but when two of the more informed insiders say something is up, something is up. I would be hesitant to disbelief Teebs of HTF also due to their rather stellar reputation
