I always make it a point to do the stat and scream and almost always hit those sound stage house first. Last year we made it thru the sound stage houses just as they opened the front gate so we missed that rush of people. We hustled and made it through all the houses well before 9. Only problem with going commando style is we rushed around so much that you kinda of lose the enjoyment of the event since your speeding thru trying to make it thru all the house.

That really is the only downside to it all, especially when you have a year like last year, where there were several things to see, but so little time to see it all, on top of all the crowds. I lucked out in that I had a FFP+ for the first time, and was able to visit five times. Rushing wasn't much of an issue for me.

I haven't purchased the pass (the cash is sat in the bank) been hanging on to get the longest length possible. Being from the UK I don't want an active pass before I arrive as I am hoping to get Sept 13, April 14 and Aug/Sept 14 out of it. My Disney AP is paid for and I have card which I can exchange on the day of my first visit does Uni do similar? and if so how do I stand for getting AP discounts on hotels, Express passes etc before I leave the UK?

Makes total sense to wait. When you do buy your premier pass they will give you a little booklet that has your HHN pass and some vouchers for free water and I think it lists all the places and discounts you get at those places. You can book the hotel using the AP discount code APH on the website or even call the reservation hotline and ask to reserve rooms under the AP rate Just show it once you get it at the front desk and you will be good. I don't think you could get any other discounts though until after you actually get the pass in hand.

just to throw my 2 cents about tickets to HHN...since I am always there for a week vacation during HHN I can only go one night and I have always gotten a stay and scream (usually wed or thurs night depending on the week of my trip) and added the express to it. I have never missed a house or Bill and ted and I am not a all night person im usually done before 11 anyway. I cant remember how long they have been offering the express but even back when they didnt the stay and scream always got us right in to the early houses and left plenty of time for the rest even when it gets crowded. I gave myself a headache trying to count all the years I went but I think I only missed 2 years. I even went last year during my chemo treatments w/my 65 yo parents and I made it to everything in one night. Point of long story paragraph?(sorry) no need to worry about getting to see things its not that hard to do

I also really miss the parades...thinking about HHN reminded me of all the times I got to ride those floats and throw beads...so many funny stories. I got burnt on a light once...and yelled at for asking people to lift their shirts for beads(good times...yup I was drinking)

Thanks for all the advice guys.

I now think I know what im going to do.

purchase the Preferred pass & Frequent fear pass instead of a premium.

The only thing I will miss not having premium is the express after 4, but I can single ride (as travelling solo) and pretty quiet in September anyway. (Will be staying onsite next trip so that will sort express for then) You don't get a free entry to HHN but the money saved will get me the FF pass. Not fussed about valet or water. I think I get free reguler parking with preferred any how.

Anyone know the price of FFpass with AP discount if I buy over there? I can get one in UK for £60 ($93)

I will utilize stay and scream on more than 1 occasion so shouldn't need HHN express.

My flights are now booked so I will be over 21st Sept through 10th Oct be cool if anyone fancies doing a meet.

Sound about right guys, any thoughts?

What night are you planning on going to HHN? The only chance I have of going would be on a Saturday night if you happen to be going that day

I can go any night Mike, going to get the frequent fear pass which I believe will cover me for 15 nights. Best Saturdays for me are 29th Sept or 6th Oct (I arrive on Sat 21st but will be whacked that day). Be cool if you can make it mate.

Was going to put up a thread to try and arrange some meets at Disney & Uni.

I try to make it to HHN every year but since having kids we added more Disney trips through out the year and that eats away at the vaca budget. Ill keep you posted until the even gets closer and give you a better idea if we may go.

If anything I would say the 24th. That was the date they gave to Horror Unearthed/Legendary Truth. I think that was kind of our Easter Egg for being the fans we are. If nothing else we'll get a Legendary Truth/Horror Unearthed update for those involved within that.

Just found this video on YouTube.

One of the guys with Merchandising said that this stuff might be very limited. I don't know if this was mentioned yet but I just thought it would be cool to share.

I'm hearing we can expect progress made on Potters London Waterfront to open that area up a wee bit more. No Scarezones or anything like that but easier on the flow.
