They'll milk it.

Seems like fan reaction on their Facebook page has been 50/50.

Yea an actual announcement! I think we all knew it was going to happen again. Too successful a franchise not too. They have been bringing in new fans to HHN because of TWD. I will go against the crowd and say I am all for it. However I just hope they only have one scare zone for it. As been mention 1000 times here, a little over kill on the zones last year.

A least we have an official house on the books. One down 7 to go.

We're gonna move all Walking Dead talk to it's own thread, and leave this for other rumors and speculation.

The site has been updated and it does confirm that Diagon Alley will not be open.

TWD reportedly signed a 3 year contract with Universal. This is year three. It's just a house. I'm fine with it, especially if it's as good as last year's house.

So with walking dead back does this eliminate the chance of AHS coming?

Does anyone have any actual confirmation that a 3 year deal was signed? I'm not saying it's untrue, it's just the first I'm hearing of it, and given the bizarre nature of AMC & Universal's collaboration thus far, it seems a bit out of place...

I have not heard any confirmation of this rumor, but it was talked about last year so it is not the first I am hearing of it. It would make sense as to why they STILL could not use any official character names last year since a contract had been signed the year before.

Sorry! I'm new here, so I hope this hasn't been covered elsewhere, but are there any hints as to an icon this year? I sure hope that it isn't just "The Walking Dead" again... I don't watch the show, and don't mind zombies being back in one house, but I pray that there will be an icon holding it all together and some actual scare zones (Hey, a guy can dream, right?)

Welcome Biff!

As far as we know, the icon talk has been really faint. The only thing we've heard was some small whispers of "The Prop Master", but that was about it. For the Walking Dead, it's just going to be used in the 1 house. The scarezones will be different areas, not just 1 continuing theme.

For those of you upset about TWD return, take heart that there is at least one original house left (or it was last I looked). It revolves around an esoteric word/name that is a part of early American history. That said, I have absolutely no idea what they are doing with it as it has been bastardized a few times since in more recent fiction.

So I'm guessing Roanoke then.... That would be an awesome idea for a house. Kind of a Forsaken kind of deal...

Yay! First guess and I'm close... Well, whatever it is would be a welcome addition. That time in history is creepy in itself and it does NOT have to involve Zombies. I got into HHN hearing my friends tell me about the awesome original houses in 21. I went for 22 and was a bit disappointed. The more originals, the better.

Any idea on when the next house announcement will be? I was hyped up to hear the first announcement only to be let down by TWD. It feels like I'm waiting for the first announcement all over again.

I will say Universal Studios is known for signing 3 year deals. I have asked and it is not confirmed but sounds like something Universal would do.
