If I recall correctly, Universal actually said they were going to modify the scare actor dining last year

Are they even offering the Marvel character dinner currently? Wouldn't be surprised if they hold off anything involving spending time with cast up close. At least not until they even allow regular meet and greets again.

According to their website, it's currently not being offered.

I don't understand why anything is off the table? Murder is evil,, domestic abuse is evil, Saw was psychological abuse, torture and murder. Trick-r-treat had implied rape. The Shining also had domestic abuse, big time. If you are going to a Horror event you should be prepared for anything and be offended by nothing or else don't go.

Notice how you said 'implied'. Things being implied or MENTIONED are VERY different than domestic abuse being the MAIN PLOT of the film. The Shining it is MENTIONED that he hit Danny. In Trick R' Treat we have a character that is implied to do things like this. Imagine going to a Horror event and they feature the scene from It Chapter 2 where we watch 2 gay men getting murdered BECAUSE of their sexuality and nothing to do with the main killer, or even scenes of the girl being abused by her father. Would that be cool horror to you?

I am NOT opposed to these things being in media. I love when films, shows, books, or even video games get into topics like these because the people need to learn how to digest these things. HOWEVER. We do NOT need a light-hearted haunted house attraction to trivialize these situations. You go into movies knowing these things. But imagine the GA. HHN for a lot of people (especially on this forum) is an escape. A way to have fun. There are PLENTY of people who go to the event who are victims of domestic abuse in various ways, and I'm one of them. Some of these people are okay with seeing abuse portrayed in film, like myself, but not at a dumb fun event we use to blow off some steam after a hard day at work. Because that's not what HHN is for.

Anyway. Rant over. Sorry about that, let's put that conversation to rest now. Mods you can delete this if it's too much.

Anyway let’s move on, any rumors on ticket options?

I would be SHOCKED if we didn't get UTH and RIP in some way. I don't understand why they wouldn't be a thing, especially since they can just do them by guest party. Just make it more boujee than usual by making them PRIVATE private lol. The only thing I could question is the Scareactor Dining since I'm pretty sure they're not doing the Marvel dining thing right now. But then again the entire adult population is supposedly going to be vaccinated by May, so who even knows?

I also hope they do BOGO again, I'm pretty sure they're going to since I think they said they're honoring the cancelled tickets from last year?

When I booked my hotel, the USO representative told me that when tickets go on sale *soon* that I will be able to upgrade my BOGO to FF IF I wanted to.

With things looking on the up and up, I doubt anything changes - but I also wouldn't be shocked if there were some tweaks as to the levels of FFP if we're still in a capacity-controlled event.

TL;DR - still too early.

Definitely happening, probably with changes.

The gravity of said changes? I dunno. The most obvious would be making the higher tier FFs much, much more expensive which I'm pretty sure would happen even without a pandemic, lol. And of course I'm assuming lower tiers will have certain dates cut off (like Sundays, i.e.). But as @Brian G. said, too early to tell. I'm cautiously optimistic since supposedly we're getting vaccinated by May, but who knows?

someone posted pictures on Instagram of the inside of a soundstage, a sprung tent and the current Beetlejuice facade. Definitely not a smart thing to do....

Not many people would even know what is being discussed, so even if we could, it would be a confusing discussion. But, on that note, could someone hypothetically drop the persons handle without any legal trouble? Hypothetically ofc.

People have been predicting a price hike and/or cutting Sundays for years (it's me--I'm people) and it never has materialized in any real fashion. Also, anyone who thinks Universal will kill their $300/night tours is even more out of touch with reality than Mr. Torrrance's earlier post. Sad only in the sense it gives us nothing to debate and discuss, but I imagine ticket options will be largely the same as the last 10ish years, with just slightly increased prices.

I’m sorry but this statement is the funniest thing I have ever read today! XD

But I do agree with your post. I think it’s only going to be private tours though, because obvious reasons.

Let’s not forget the fact that HHN was happening last year, all the way up until the last minute. I’m pretty sure that anything we’re hearing in March can be changed. So why are we trying to get concrete info right now?

Not Sundays, but Fridays, feel the most likely for me but I get how killing that "a house then bail in enough time for work" crowd would be smarter.

I think we're going to see prices raised by 15% or so, so passes going up $35-45 each.

Yeah, it was technically “on” till the last minute, but let’s not forget that last year COVID cases were rising and vaccines were a distant thought. They also didn’t even announce a crumb of info when COVID was a thing. Anything could change, but it’s a much more optimistic situation

Nobody is really talking about how early the event is starting now

HHN starting on my B-Day weekend was a dream of mine back in the day

I hope they keep pushing it earlier honestly lol
