You can hate on me for saying this but this lineup makes want to skip HHNs Hollywood when we come to california. Nothing on this list interests me in the slightest.
AHS: been done
Saw: been done
Shinning: at Orlando
Evil Dead: been done
the Thing: been done
I don't know if it's worth spending a night there or finding some local haunts.
To say something,
American Horror Story: More In-Depth oriented take on Roanoke, collaboration along with FoxNext. Does not include any other season.
Saw: Both Coasts, but hasn't been seen since 2010 and that it'll most likely bring new material from the upcoming movie
Shining: Both Coasts, but both are completely different houses
Evil Dead: It was Done, but that was more on the Remake from 2013. None of that will be in the new house, and that it's possible that it may incorporate elements from the new TV series.
The Thing: Similar situation to Evil Dead, but that they are focusing more on the original classic from John Carpenter back in 1982.
Terror Tram: Albeit repetitive, but it is something to experience
Blumhouse: Both Coasts, but it seems like it may be different due to Insidious potentially as it's own thing for Hollywood
Insidious: The "Wolfman" of the group, will serve as a preview for the upcoming movie, which got pushed to January.
There are plenty of reasons to not go. And I think it would depend on my mood; as if I wasn't in that mood, I'd probably choose Knotts Scary Farm (as they are celebrating their 45th); or Dark Harbor due to that they have seemed to be rather positive in response.
I would even vouch for Fright Fest these days, but that may be going too far. And then there are stuff like Delusion, Blackout, LA Haunted Hayride, and the like.
If you don't go to Halloween Horror Nights this year, it's completely understandable as I could actually rather see why.
None of the IPs (even Blumhouse I'm questioning of) excites me in a way that, quite frankly; did last year, as it was a major year for the event. It brought back Original content for the Tram, that didn't suck, had one more run for the Killer Quartet in houses, and brought in American Horror Story for the first time.
It just differs on preference.
