HHN Hollywood Speculation/News - 2015

Well heres the thing. If they do The Purge, Johns "Creative Consultant" actually could be Jason Blum. It could work to bring a lot more into the lackluster years of the Terror Tram. Of-course; I could be very wrong and its just someone from Blumhouse but I think that's why we have The Purge again.

I know people will hate me for this, but..I'm all in for This is the End. I will say this; I think theres good potential to bring in a Penn&Teller Nuked experience here and ontop of that, theres a lot of potential to bring in interactive elements for this house in particular. So yea, besides that; I'm in for this and I want to see the end result.

But Penn & Teller was awful aside from some neat interactive elements.

There's not going to be interactive elements in there, I'm sure if it. That sounds like the kind of thing Murdy doesn't want.

I think most people are upset at the fact that This Is The End takes up a slot that a more capable film could be in. Will it be terrible? Who knows but honestly out of the vast catalog of films out there to make a comedy house they went with that? This is the biggest difference between Aiello and Murdy. Aiello tries to give fans what they want. Murdy gives fans what he thinks they would like.

Fixed that for ya. This year, Murdy had a wide variety of properties he could've chosen. Yet he chooses some that are absolute repeats and aren't relevant and onande that isn't horror based AT ALL.

I have a friend who works in booking at the Luxor in Vegas. She told me Jabbawockeez is sending a troop to HHN this year. Could they end up in the Castle?

^that's actually a very plausible & logical conclusion. The reason why I say this is because the Jabbawockeez are moving to I believe MGM, I can't remember off the top of my head and Blue Man Group is headed back to Luxor. So this actually makes sense and would be a good addition to HHN.

Its almost like Hollywood's version of Orlando's "Death Drums", only not as sex-fueled. But yay!

also... Halloween has more or less been confirmed. Curious to find out how different it is from 2009's Maze.

Btw, I hope the Jabbawakkes.. (Or whatever the hell you say it) is false. I think its a terrible idea and I think theres better entertainment to have than..dancers, which we already have dancers.. just not during HHN hours.

Jabbawockeez will indeed be our entertainment venue this year for HHN.... By far the most disappointing news for me yet.

Ok..then I have this to ask, as if they are doing this..Will it atleast be in the Castle, as that's whats going to make a lot of problems if its not there.

Nope, Wesker seems to have the insight on that. All I heard was that we might get one scare-zone based off an IP that people would enjoy going in the Lower Lot.

Looking in the lines a bit with this year..It seems a very Cast house year. Theres going to have to be a lot of Look-a-likes for some of these characters, much like for houses like Halloween, This Is The End, Crimson Peak and to an extent, Insidious. It actually makes me excited to see the actors for each house in a way.

^lulz... I'm almost surprised THAT isn't the costume they're using for our new raptor encounter ^_^

As for SZs, nothing yet. They do know something, but not the full list yet. I did try to fish a little, but got nothing. It's okay though since Murdy is still writing the "backstories" or whatever for said SZs.

I would be very surprised if the rumored IP SZ is JP themed... or in this case, JW since that is what UNI is heavily pushing right now. Murdy already shot it down as a maze claiming it would be too difficult/expensive -insert eyeroll here- But I guess, its possible we'd get a SZ... I mean, the Lower Lot zones haven't exactly been "heavily themed" as far as I've seen from the past few years...

My initial thought though was maybe a classic monster themed SZ... but I feel like that would be better suited for the entrance SZ. Murdy made it sound like the SZs would be more "original" based though... BUT since things do change on a whim, anything is possible until its announced.

Of a possible good sign of whats to come for Crimson Peak. It seems this is going to be on the difficulty of making a maze for this on the scale of a AVP for Difficulty..

And the fact that its under a tarp held up by poles is pretty impressive as well. Lots of interesting perspectives will be created for Crimson Peak's scenic... I'm really curious to see how they execute this maze.. I'm excited for the facades of each maze this year...

Speaking of the metro sets,... since TWD has been relocated to SS28... I wonder what SZ they will put down there by CP & AVP... I know they had TWD SZ there in 2013 even with the tram pick-up/drop-off... and it would be really stupid NOT to have a SZ there this year when we have two mazes (should be three dammit!) again like 2013.

and the relocation of TWD to SS28 just made me have an awful thought about that IP SZ on the Lower Lot rumor.... what if the IP SZ is actually TWD!!!!! :wacko:

In many ways; i'm excited to see these facades this year. And heck, even TWD as much as i'm not happy for it, I am excited for the façade as it could be something special to behold.
