yes, Murdy's first year was 2006, making this year his 10th year.
As far as B&T is concerned, Aiello hasn't been a part of it since 2010. 2011's show was helmed by Patrick Braillard. 2012-present is Jason Horne. 2012's show was downright awful, but Horne redeemed himself in 2013. When B&T was canceled here, we almost lost the show in Orlando as well until they saw it was different. Surprisingly, Orlando has gotten to poke fun at Disney the past 2 years (which is usually highly frowned upon... see 2006/2007). USH (or Comcast) have zero balls... so things get canceled, pulled, removed, etc..
In regards to Murdy.. here are two questions where he gives a BS excuse:
- Orlando used JP in 2002
- Just because something isn't deemed horror, doesn't mean it can't be converted to horror
- too expensive.... yet, we had AWIL & AVP last year, and puppets wouldn't necessarily be needed
- Too hard to cast for Evil Dead/Army of Darkness? Orlando did it in 2009 for their "Medievel Darkness" scene in Silver Screams without using a mask (unofficial AOD 'pit scene' due to rights issue. Lights, Camera, Hacktion SZ that year was originally an "Army of Darkness" SZ, but had to be changed due to lack of rights.)
