So 7 houses huh. I'd say 2 upper 2 lower and 3 backlot. R u guys sure he doesn't just mean he found out he's going to lose a location for next year.

Considering that it'd be stupid to have him mention that for next years event, no.

And also, I can pop up the tweet that he mentioned for this year, as I alluded to the loss of the 28 plot for HHN. And considering that HHN Crowds are big, they may need as much line space as possible for TWDA so this could be more as a safety matter that they have to give up the Courtyard.

Also jiving with the fact that the Backlot spaced used for HHN isn't big enough as is, I see it as this. One on Upper, two down at Lower and Four at Backlot.

~TWDA (Upper Lot); Wisconsin (JP); Exorcist (Mummy); 747; Doris Day; CP Tent Location; Two new tents to the left side of Courthouse

Combined with a Scarezone in Universal Blvd, NYStreet, France, Baker Street and two scarezones in the backlot; it'd make sense. Also Combined with the current locations for Tram Drop-off and Pick-up, Terror Tram, Jabbawockeez in Castle, and other live entertainment in the Backlot (not mentioning Hogsmeade due to that its probably guaranteed), it could be a excellent use of an increased budget for HHN this year.

Get people out of the houses, as much as possible. That way, the long waits shouldn't be as bad as it can; and that they can control the flow of the houses much better than the past few years have been.

I think we lost Parisian. If that really was one of Murdy's favorite venues, I find that interesting. That is the most restricted venue of all of the locations. That would make sense if we lost Parisian as they want as much seating as possible for this Summer.

I could see the WaterWorld queue being used. Like Wes said, there's plenty of room for a house and queue plus a queue for the show during the day. It would be far less restricted than Parisian.

Also they can use those storage warehouses behind the BTTF courthouse. It's split into two buildings but if they wanted, they could combine them somehow. Or expand into the parking lot behind Metro.

if we are losing one of the planned locations for this year I'd rule out mummy since murdy already announced it being used and if that changed he would have already said it.

Murdy made it sound like it was a location lost for this year's event. And in regards to Mummy... just because Murdy announced that location for Exorcist, doesn't mean that the park can take it away from him resulting in a new location. Its happened before in Orlando... the biggest/most recent being in 2012 with SS44 being demolished (AFTER construction began on that house) for construction of Transformers. Sure the house hadn't been announced yet, but the permit was filed & construction was underway before they lost the location.

Honestly... any and all locations are pretty much fair game when it comes to losing them for some reason or another.

That doesn't really make sense considering TWD is a permanent attraction so it will have outdoor & indoor queue space, so it will be able to handle large crowds of people. Using the courtyard for a maze wouldn't affect TWD attraction considering it dumps out on French st. They couldn't block off access to Baker st because then people would only have one way to/from DM. Plus Baker st will have a SZ, just like French st.

I know about the Orlando thing I'm just saying that he would of already come out and said that mummy isn't being used, I don't know why he would wait to say important info like that. One thing saving Parisian is that he said its one of his favorite venues which I find hard to believe. Mummy or 747 seem more appropriate for that statement unless he loves Halloween that much

Any new location Murdy acquires has to be able to be easy access to get guests to/from the maze & have space for queue.

- Waterworld
- Courthouse façade warehouse
- another SS

too bad they couldn't figure out a way to use the Studio Tour garages again..

Did some digging. Here is our event "cheat sheet" for speculation this year:

Miscellaneous Notes:

-Letters "Q", "B", and "Z" appear nowhere in the line up. The letter "P" only appears once as well as "K".

-Terror Tram will be an original idea not based on an IP.

-No music house this year

-There are a total of 678 pages of maze treatment this year

Wisconsin:

-Codename ties with a specific city in the state the codename is based on and the film that's connected to the codename
-Highly requested house by the fans
-Film that's never been used in Horror Nights
-Has some original elements, a crazy idea John had that was inspired by something from the movie but not in the movie..
-Will be working on a production for it with the El Cucuy wig returning.

-Treatment is 92 pages

Dorris Day

-Codename can be a song, album, or movie title from Dorris Day.

-Most "original" maze of the bunch

-Has a small revolving piece of scenery that can alter a scene

-Features a fairly long intro that will set up the story at the facade, before you go inside. Also has a strange ode to the Smiths

-Some "Original filming" was done for facade

-Treatment is 90 pages

Maze #3 (Confirmed to be the Exorcist)

-Score is going to play key element in audio design.

-It is a "Huge creative challenge" and "Violates almost every rule" they have for what  "makes a great maze" and "requires a different approach".

-Possibly may be the "darkest maze ever"

-75 pages of treatment

Maze #4

-Possibly the "Dark Horse" of the event

-Has treatment of 110 pages

Maze #5

-Treatment is 127 pages

Please lemme know if I'm missing anything!

Back to the Preacher rumor I received a while back, I feel that ties into Doris Day, while Wisconsin will be FvJ or something else entirely... hmm...

EDIT: Wisconsin won't be FvJ, as it appears to be located in the JP overflow queue... I highly doubt Murdy will restrict such a theatrical maze to that space. I'm fairly confident that will go in 747.

I believe Wisconsin will be The Conjuring. I agree, if we get FVJ it should go in 747.

Okay.. so I've only seen the videos on youtube of 2007/2008's NOES mazes (oh right.. they did another in 2010 based on the remake), but weren't those (along with the F13 mazes) done in tents? Because if so, I don't really see why it'd be so impossible to shove those two franchises into a tent if their separate mazes were great. Sure a SS is a great location & all, but as someone who has seen (and experienced) some terrible SS houses in Orlando... I guess I don't care where its located as long as the FvsJ maze is done well (but we can already expect multiple mannequins).

Anyway... as promised, here are two pics of the JP queue tent. And it is the same height/width/length as always.

You know... I can't help but laugh because the hint given for this maze confirms "more plain black walls than ever before!!!"  However, it was pretty obvious how they will most likely approach this maze's execution after Murdy confirmed the banned trailer as his inspiration. I'm expecting A LOT of strobes/flashes of light. "IF" he goes with the approach I am hoping he is going for and this is anything close to 2008's "Dead Exposure" or 2012's "House of Horrors" (both in Orlando), then this will end up being the scariest maze of the event.

RUMOR TIME - No tram to backlot this year, SEVEN to EIGHT mazes (including TWDA, but not Terror Tram), no V/RIP and Wizzarding World will be open during HHN.

If true, I can see the disadvantage of there being no RIP this year, as well as advantages, but I certainly do not mind walking to the backlot this year if it meant more mazes!

Are you counting the Terror Tram and TWDA to that? Because if not, it could imply that they seek to have 9 haunted experiences for HHN (possibly 10). Plus Jabbawockeez, and the other live entertainment it would add a lot to the mix. It would bum me a bit if that is the case for those that go to HHN every year within the manner of going from the backlot to the park it-self.

If that's the case, it makes me believe of this being the possible list of houses per area;

Backlot: Five (747, CP Tent, Backlot Shuttle Tram Drop-off/Pickup {2 Houses [If its 8]}, Courthouse Square storage {1 House})

LL: Two (JP Overflow and Mummy Venue)

UL: One (TWDA)

I don't really get the argument behind wanting a tram to the Backlot. If it means more mazes and faster loading/unloading for Terror Tram, I'm sure guests will survive another year without it.

They could even build upon what they did in 2014 and turn that pathway from the Lower Lot to the Backlot into an official scarezone that connects to the smaller scarezone at the entrance to the metro sets. I know they threw in a few scare actors before to give guests a spook while they made their way back and forth, but I think it'd leave people with even more incentive to make the trek if they slapped a name on it and called it another scarezone.

^^ My source told me it does not count Terror Tram, but does count TWDA. Terror Tram should also be interesting and a bit of a "prototype" for something Murdy wants to test.

Then we'd be going with the 8 House count, much like how HHN was before 25 in its count.

And the Terror Tram having something that's a prototype makes me curious..could you be referring to something more in the interactive side?

^ No idea, my source just said it would be a fresh take on Murdy's part and for Terror Tram, so anything goes.

Yeah if there's more houses on backlot, it makes sense for no tram, that also means FDTD location is on the table again.

id say 2 upper 2 lower 3-4 backlot

I'd say 1 Upper, 2 Lower, and Five Backlot. In-which, the Backlot would then bleed out to Courthouse Squares storage building and the square.
