PHOTOS: Jurassic Outfitters Sign Being Refurbished and Bright Colors Being Painted All Over Jurassic Park in Preparation for VelociCoaster at Universal’s Islands of Adventure - WDW News Today
Today, while we were touring around Jurassic Park at Universal's Island of Adventure we noticed some improvements taking place.universalparksnewstoday.com
Slightly strange.
People Funk is my favorite experimental band. The seat wall stones receive a new base (the actual primer), two separate colourful washes, and then a final warm brown wash. Most scenic painting is worked in various layers. It’s how they were painted back when the park opened. Really fun stuff to see!
Also if you notice, the old rocks look a bit worn and reddish-brown, with a sort of gloss sheen. This is due to people constantly sitting and leaning their hands on them. The phenomenon is jokingly referred to as “people funk” as it, well... is a result of the various human secretions wearing down the clear coat on surfaces lol.
It’s an interesting way to try to blend the blues and greys of World with the oranges and teal of Park.

Great info!
. . . NO..Something that struck me, is in the center of track. Is there..some form of wiring being added onto the coaster track? If so, could it be..a potential from of light package, similar to Monster/Hangtime/Soaring with Dragon?
EDIT: I confused a part of the coaster track in-between the rails to be some form of wiring. Don't mind me, someone going overcomplicated on an image.
Looks like more humans get to ride.
Soon.....Sad reacts only, 'cause none of us are on that train.
first week of April "soon"? asking for a friend :look:Soon.....
Are we thinking four or five trains max on this one?FWIW - It appeared 3 trains were testing yesterday.
Spring break opening? This looks like it could seriously open any day now (which I would not be opposed to).
Is it just me or does that almost look like Uni did it on purpose?Picture of the Day - Orlando

I hope @Frank Drackman doesn’t mind me linking his great Velocicoaster photo on to this thread. Not seen that framing / location before. Nice.
I think they were workin on scene 1 “windows “recently. Can’t wait to start hearing sound turned on.The coaster appears to be in working order. Wondering if the pre/post show scenes are up and running yet
