The Galaxy ports and DK DLC are genuinely the first Switch 2 issue that I actually get the hate over. $40 for a Wii game, even in 4K is absurd. The DLC should’ve been a free update.
Tomodachi Life looks amazing. MP4 looks… good, and I’m REALLY excited to try it in 120FPS or 4K, but the open world motorcycle scene looked incredibly boring. My expectations are honestly going down for this game.
The new Yoshi looks adorable, I hope it’s 4K or 1440p60fps with that beautiful art style. Doesn’t seem to be breaking a lot of new ground, but I’m sure I’ll enjoy it.
RE8 looked great to me. It seems like the Switch 2’s MO is going to be “you can play great looking versions of all current gen games, with the tradeoff that everyone’s hair is going to look super crunchy.”
I have still never played a Fire Emblem game, and this direct was giving me major flashbacks to 2019 when I desperately wanted an update on “Animal Crossing Switch” and it seemed like every Direct ended with 20 minutes of Fire Emblem content. Very much the same situation here.
I was almost 100% sure they’d tease Animal Crossing here given Yoshi, Luigi’s Mansion and Animal Crossing are the only series that are incredibly likely to get new games soon, using deductive reasoning with their release times and what their teams have been up to.
