well, there's also no proof that Zelda is being built, right?

I didn't say anything about the Zelda 100% being built there, just that there's no proof that HP might expand there. However, there's more rumors about Zelda being a potential replacement for the LC, but we can't know for sure.

If Zelda does arrive in LC, I would put money down on The Great Deku Tree making some kind of appearance. He's a very iconic landmark from the earliest NES and N64 games all the way to Tears of the Kingdom only two years ago, and I'm sure the creative teams would love to give a little nostalgic nod to Merlinwood through his inclusion.

I’d put the Deku Tree indoors as part of a Lost Woods themed dungeon-like walkthrough experience complete with the Master Sword in its pedestal. I’d also give it an animatronic face of a similar size to King Kong.

It’s not a popular opinion, but… Lost Continent should probably become more Potter. Hogsmeade is constantly jam-packed - the extra room would alleviate crowding and Potter still moves mountains of merch and gets folks through the gate. The IP works, and Lost is perfectly situated to expand it.

Eh, I'm not sure if that's the best move. I'm not opposed to more Potter, but Hogsmeade feels rather complete as is. Potter already takes up significant real estate in all three parks, and any further additions should probably just be an additional attraction to Diagon Alley or Epic's land. An additional strong IP could do a lot for IoA in the long-run.

If Hogsmeade expansion is to be replacement for the entire LC, then guests and fans will notice and complain about too much HP taking up space at Universal Orlando in general, and it won't encourage others to come to IOA more after EU opens. The LC replacement is best served by having another popular IP installed in it, which would incentivize more guests to come to IOA after EU opens.

If LC were to go potter, they really need to dedicate some of the other side for a Grinch coaster.

I could also see LC being an ideal place to fast track a Shrek land if Shrek 5 does well enough box office wise to revive the franchise.

Disney has no problem using the same IP across multiple parks. Shrek has so much potential for a fully themed land and deserves more than just a play set to do the IP justice IMO.

Yes, let's do a Shrek land instead of Zelda, one of the biggest franchises Universal has yet to tap into lmfao. What Shrek has in DreamWorks Land is good enough for the time being.

That's a bit different though... not in the same way Disney does but I get your point.

Not lands, unless it’s an S-Tier property. I don’t disagree that Shrek would make a good land but we’re really reaching here. The die has been cast with it over at USF.

I still think that if they add a dark ride to DreamWorks Land it should be Shrek and not Trolls.

I think if Wicked is the huge hit it looks like it will be, we'll see it as a land in the parks before Shrek and some of the other things mentioned, and Lost Continent or the expansion pad in Epic would be most likely candidates.

I think we're all just talking around the Occam's razor solution, which is that it'll probably be Zelda, but it's not going to happen as quickly as anyone would like. The lack of visible progress is part of what's driving this blue sky chatter. I would sincerely be shocked if it ends up being anything but more Nintendo.
