I have the feeling "All-Stars feeling" just means that the hotel will rely on a lot of characters + IP. They could definitely build a high end hotel using IP.

For reference, 4K rooms is roughly the size of the Luxor in Vegas.

EDIT: Wikipedia has stats on largest hotels in world. Disney's largest hotel is Port Orleans, with roughly 3.3k rooms.

This could totally be the case. My source didn't want to say too much and get their guys in trouble. But a theme park that doesn't tap into its characters is wasting that potential.

Umm... All Stars is the largest... with around 5-6k I believe. Wikipedia counted both riverside and french quarter. So it would not be a fair comparison to count both port orleans and not All stars.

I think All Stars is considered as several hotels.

There are a lot of inconsistencies there, to say the least. All Stars feel+upscale don't go together

Maybe they mean a large resort with close to the number of rooms as All-Stars, but an upscale resort instead of an expensive motel?

I definitely thought their counting scheme was weird.

I Think the Luxor in Vegas is a much better comparison. It's on 39 acres and 30 stories tall.

So they are asking for transportation designs as well as the hotel? I bet one of them is to build the hotel tall enough to use an aerial tramway backed by busses. At 30 stories that should allow for plenty of clearance and some of those cars are huge. They could HE the windows and have Kong "inspect" you as you travel.

I'm not sure if this is sarcasm, but I actually really like the idea of the aerial tram.. maybe a gondola type thing so its not just 2 carts going back and forth

No sarcasm, I think it is a great idea and the capacity is plenty. New York tram is a 3 minute trip to move 3100 feet with 110 people per trip so this would be slightly longer. Now getting permission to run over the interstate might be dicy and I don't know how many buses you could buy for what it would cost but it would be an attraction in itself

Not saying it will get built but I do think that will be one of the proposals. The distance is right for it.

I have posted this pic before, but I think it's a good example of how it could be done.

Could transport not go underground? Subway with stops at the current park W&W plot and the new plot. Wouldn't need to worry about traffic or people seeing IDrive and could easily be themed to anything they liked. Heck they had a NY subway in Fantastic Beasts

Would take a huge set of pumps to keep the tube dry. Water table is about 3 feet below the surface in Florida

Because of the high water table here in FL, underground construction is extremely expensive. an elevated train seems to be the best option to the new land near the convention center. From the WnW plot to the existing resort, I think aerial trams would work, be exceptionally cool, and be another visual advert while driving down I-4. You could literally have a Universal monorail and an aerial tramway crossing I-4 with the giant volcano as a backdrop.

It would look like a Futuristic City. Kind of like "Tomorrowland" or "Future World Epcot" 'should' look like. :)

Ah yes, that pesky water, shame though as could have been a great solution.

I really can't wait for them to get going on this though, whatever happens the construction is going to be awesome to watch.
