No they cannot. Glasses have to be removed. Or don't wear goggles.

^ Yeah that's my problem, this literally means I won't be able to ride Forbidden Journey anymore... wow, I am incredibly bummed. Without my glasses I am incredibly blind, and without the goggles I can only imagine how blurry the domes will look even with glasses on... This is pretty unfortunate  :(

I didn't say universal doesn't allow it.  I just said they can't be worn together.  I tried and almost lost my glasses, and in the process scratched my lenses. This is a roller coaster, you have to check all your items into a locker like The Mummy. Riding holding the goggles to my face the whole time so that my Rx glasses also stayed on didn't make for the easiest ride. The goggles aren't like traditional 3d glasses in that they totally hug your face like those face hugger Oakley sunglasses.

So I don't know if the rules don't allow you, I just know it scratched my prescription glasses and I would not risk it again myself.

Nevermind, tried it on another computer and it worked out.  Bummer all the preview times are 9am.  I would have loved to do an evening preview after work after Easter.  How long do you think the our preview will run?

Actually, Forbidden Journey is not a roller coaster. The ride system is a bench seated on a Kuka arm that is attached to an ever-moving, omnimover-esque track.

Okay, so you yourself are just not recommending it. Got it.

Thanks for the info.  Adding the WB previews. Do we know if it's only one day or all week long?  I'm kinda curious what's happening on St. Patrick's Day.  Wouldn't that be fun to celebrate at the Hog's Head?  Also, does anyone know if there are additional private events this weekend beside Kaiser?  Anything that would prevent tech rehearsals or reduce the hours?

As for the whole glasses thing with FJ, I've reluctantly switched to contact lenses when I visit but because of the lighting indoors.  I wear transition lenses and the castle is just kept way too dark!  My glasses don't adjust quick enough for the extreme change and it has been very difficult to walk around.  I guess the whole Quidditch goggles thing is another reason I'll have to stick to contacts.  It's annoying, but good to know.

They allow you to wear the 3D goggles over your glasses. I've ridden it plenty of times with both the normal 3D glasses originally and the new quidditch goggles. I've never had one TM say otherwise to me. Not sure if the other poster experienced this or was just speculating, but I've never had a problem and I've had 30 plus rides on FJ.

As I previously said - no cast members told me to remove my glasses. This was a personal preference. I also wrote that  have ridden it with the regular 3d glasses and the goggles. My own personal experience was that, yes, you can place the goggles over prescription glasses. Although when I did it the goggles kept sliding down and I found myself having to hold the goggles on. Different styles of prescription glasses may also effect how comfortable it is, I suppose. Although the sliding of the goggles DID scratch my prescription lenses.

People were asking, so I was trying to offer the opinion of someone who wears glasses. I myself found it to be an issue so I remove them for the ride. I have not ridden 30 plus times, although I have ridden 10 plus times.

To correct what I said - Yes, you can wear glasses on the ride. If it can be avoided, I would not. I am female, and do have an issue with standard issue theme park glasses fitting my head correctly, they are usually too big. That may be why I experienced the sliding around of the goggles/glasses.

I do apologize if I caused unnecessary worry.

I just emailed my friend at Warner Bros, i will let you know if I find out if they are having previews on more days than just Wednesday.

As for the castle being too dark, I agree! I thought it was just me. Seems to take FOREVER to adjust, if they do at all. I dont recall it being that dark when i went the first weekend it was open. But I went monday and tuesday this week and it seemed much darker. I took my mom on tuesday and she made that comment as well without me bringing it up. Although I suspect that when there is actually a line for the ride there will be ALOT of time to be standing inside the castle for eyes to properly adjust.

You should call Universal customer service 1-800-864-8377 and select "0" to talk to a real person. They have been incredibly helpful lately when I have had questions - and they will be able to answer your questions directly. Their customer service has greatly improved in the last 6 months.

And updated.  Anything going on more than Kaiser this weekend?  Last Sunday tech rehearsals didn't start until noon but I don't think there were evening previews that night.  Wondering if there will be something similar.  They haven't had private morning AND evening events on the same day yet, have they?  Every group seems to be taking their own turn.

So are we looking good for an early/mid-day soft opening on Sunday?

Does anyone remember seeing what time the last annual pass previews are for each day? Also are technical rehearsals expected to occur after these previews (in the same day)? Thanks in advance!

I tried asking that to guest services over the phone and they wouldn't give me a straight answer.  They said something about the last group going in at 11 or 11:20...I'm not sure.  They said they might close down and then re-open for technical rehearsals.  They wouldn't commit to it.  And they wouldn't give me a solid end time for the previews.  They just kept saying everyone will have enough time to go once on all the rides.

I hope so!  I haven't seen anything other than Kaiser previews at night.  Someone tweeted about rumors of another private event but it was never backed up with any substance.  I want to try to go tomorrow and I'll see if a TM will be honest with me.  I'll tweet/post here if I can any real news.

Using that link, can one register for more than one day with the same pass?

Okay so WWoHP will be open all day today but they stopped letting in new guests at 2pm.  Anyone who's already in can enjoy it for the rest of the park hours while the Kaiser preview will get to continue after closing.  This is going to be the same plan for tomorrow.  I checked with two different TM's and they said the same thing.  Neither knew of any morning private event, but only the Kaiser one at night.  And one made it seem like tech rehearsals on weekends are always very likely.

For those who've been to the Hollywood version of Hogsmeade, what's been your favorite and least favorite food item at Three Broomsticks?

My favorite is the Spare Ribs Platter with Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert. Along with cold Butterbeer.

My least favorite so far is the Prime Rib.

My favorite has got to be a tie between the Beef/ Lamb Guinness Stew and the Shepard's Pie (of course with a cold Butterbeer).

My least favorite would also have to go to the Prime Rib.

Have yet to try any of the desserts.
