Last I recall, weren't the skins from the Trikes removed, leaving exposed mechanics which would likely get somewhat damaged over time? Who knows what condition these animatronics are in... while I'd love to see this attraction make a comeback as it was a very nice, intimate experience, I think it's doomed to be shuttered for a good while yet. The cleanup in the queue is a bit of a mystery, but my guess it's either 1) upkeep for safety/show's sake and/or 2) making room for some extra miscellaneous Potter storage.

You are right. However, I have heard they have been working in the area the past few months, so I could see it returning to help with capacity issues if need be.

Triceratops Encounter/Triceratops Discovery Trail (1999-2005) (name changed in 2003), where guests could get up close and interact with a full-scale animated replica of a Triceratops, while a "veterinary technician" performed a semi-annual exam on the Trike. The attraction actually featured three different Trikes— Topper, Chris, and Cera. All 3 were female. Chris was named after a member of the team that created the dinosaurs who died before the attraction opened. The attraction is now permanently closed although still standing. This will be replaced by a water slide and a water play area for Camp Jurassic.

I was told the department that makes the skins was asked to make 3 skins by the end of the year. They don't work on property so maybe someone could do a drive by!

It's not coming back. I'm pretty sure it was confirmed a few weeks ago that the part of the queue that was cleared was intended for worst-case-scenario-overflow queue for Forbidden Journey. They didn't need it.

Ugh, this is a bummer. I personally think Universal is making a huge mistake having it closed. It's just a waste of space as it is. And they cleared some of the queue? The whole ride is basically a queue! Good for them! They've got half the work done!

I really doubt they would put a new ride in Jurassic Park, even though I would really like a new ride there, there's just not enough space in Jurassic Park to put a new ride there unfortunately. :shrug:
