It hasnt done that during testing, but I guess it could. I'd say its closer to 3 minutes than 7 though.

During testing it is in maintenance mode not show mode. After all the faults are worked out then will test it in show mode. Also half way between USF & IOA is a pull off which would allow the train to switch and back in as the train gets attacked.

So yea. Confirmation that the Gringotts earlier was either old info or false.

Gringotts is moving right along. And it's glorious according to the owls.

Thats awesome news. Hopefully it runs smoothly when people start getting to ride it, though.

That's just a bypass so the two trains can pass each other. The two separate sections are long enough that the trains can pass each other without stopping. In fact, the system is set up in such a way that it is impossible for one train to move while the other is stopped. You can think of it as though the two trains are attached to opposite ends of the same cable with the station acting as a pulley; you pull one end out, the other gets pulled in. One train will always take one side of the split, and the other train will always take the other side.

I doubt the trains will actually stop mid-journey. Though, the simulation film could be made to feel as though the train has stopped. If the ride is smooth enough, passengers shouldn't be able to tell that they are still moving.

EDIT: Also, in regards to the 7-minute ride claim, it could be that they were referring to the entire round-trip experience. That is to say they have produced 7 minutes of ride film.

Holy cow, just catching up on the last few pages. Appears Chicken Little bit the group and the sky is falling all over! Thank you JungleSkip for bringing a little levity back to the conversation. Great to hear that Gringott's is on track (no pun intended). I'm sure they have lots of goblins working 24/7 to get it just right.

And yeah. The purple light in the clock needs to go pronto. It is hideous.

I wonder is the purple light is supposed to be something muggles can't see - a surreal hint at where the train station truly leads to. Still awkward and I can't see how JKR would approve.

Also, I will be disappointed if Luna, Neville, and Ginny's voices and silhouettes aren't on the train... Luna had zero representation in FJ and Ginny and Bonnie Wright never got the screen time or script they deserved...

Is it possible the clock light changes colour? Could it be white/yellow hued most of the time, but every now and again it glows purple as a magical 'wink'?

We are discussing the color of the clock. Chill. There are very few clocks in the world that glow purple. Many here are merely wondering why. What is the story they are trying to tell?

I don't care if it sounds nitpicky. I don't like the purple clock. Reminds me a prince. It also takes away part of the "disguise". Is it meant to match the bus?

Or MAYBE those are color changing LED pannels inside the clock and have not properly been adjusted yet...

The new interior wall painting looks more appropriate to this photo. Still a bit heavy, but hey.

This would be a great opportunity to include the other characters! If the trolley lady can go past in silhouette shouting "Aaaaaanything from the trolley?!" as she does in the films, then Lune can certainly go past selling the Quibbler as she does! See the first scene here:

Keep an eye out in the alley for easter eggs pertaining to a certain blue box that's bigger on the inside...

I haven't seen it myself, but I have seen 1701. Technically, those following this thread have seen it too. It's hanging about in a photo here somewhere.
