Manta

Me and the family are going to be at Aquatica and then Sea World on Halloween day. I'll see what kind of pictures of Manta construction I can get!

Although with the cooler temps maybe not Aquatica.

Oh thats sounds nice, definately take pics of the Halloween festivities.
It is supposed to get in the 60's at night down here this weekend, so I am sure a lot cooler up by you guys.
Yay, finally cooler temps!

Yeah, the wife and I explored the Canaveral National Seashore park today while the kids were in school and it was 80 and sunny, been getting down in the 60s at night. This weather is perfect!

We didn't make it out on Halloween day but managed to hit Sea World yesterday on Sunday. Got a couple new pics of Manta construction, they were working on it when we were there and seem to be moving really fast. Also saw some of the wire framing they use to make the fake rock scenery on site in the parking lot but my camera batteries died!

Here's new construction updates, they are moving fast:

Wow I didn't know they already started putting track up. lol I drive by SeaWorld a couple times a week and I never even notice!

Wow. When I passed SeaWorld by about 2 weeks ago, that sure as hell wasn't there. The supports were, but no track. Impressive.

It doesn't have the signature "dip" like other B&M coasters.

Funny thing is that this opens up in Summer of 09 and is coming along nicely. Compared to HRRR which opens sooner in Spring of 09 and looks as if just plumbing was done.

Wait why do we need plumbing on a roller coaster? lol

Well, how else do you think they will get the... er, spills out of the vicinity?

I hope that the slower pace of construction means that Universal's taking their sweet time.... and not in the wait-until-the-last-minute-then-build-everything-at-once take their time either.

We were out at SeaWorld last weekend and I snapped a few shots of Manta construction from the sky tower thing. Here's one...
