The place with "crepe" in its name no longer sells crepes. o_O
Aristocrepes no longer offering crepes, moves to seasonal offerings

The sign has been taken down so it is actually no longer called Aristocrepes.

I would imagine there was a severe lack of crepes being sold though, based on what I know about American's. People don't like to try things if they haven't had it before (especially if they've gonna pay theme park pricing).

"People don't like to try things " Are crepes not a thing in Florida?

They're here, but they're also easily avoidable. The aren't a big Florida thing from my perspective.

I guess that international food and wine festival at Epcot must be a total bomb then.;)

Haha, perhaps instead of removing the crepes they should have just added alcohol.

It's interesting they're adding that to DS first before a park. Really lends some credibility to the talk of DS not doing as well as expected.

Wow, well... I certainly didn't think we'd see drone shows this immediately. Damn, Disney back at it again with the big surprises.

(I am so, so, so sorry)

Someone could do a rather excellent Close Encounters tribute with that drone tech

Yeah, with the number of Brazilians (and guests in general) down, they need to get people to DS to recoup that investment. That's why they now run direct buses from MK to DS after 4:00 and keep giving CMs more and more discounts in the DS shops and restaurants.

From people who actually have information, it's the MARKETPLACE that's not doing well, not the new stores (aside from a few here/there). The way the new garages let people out, you are either let out at the West side from the Orange garage or straight into Town Center from Lime. Marketplace has seen a big hit due to this.

This new show will force people back over to the marketplace if they want to watch it.

Another reason I think they chose DS to first display a drone show is because if you are going to use drones, it basically needs to be over water (they can't fly them over people's heads).

So MK and DHS are pretty much out of the equation automatically as they don't have big enough bodies of water. DAK has RoL coming soon and Epcot has Illuminations. I could see Epcot using drones in a new version of Illuminations eventually, but Disney Springs is a good testing ground for now.

Ok, to what end? Is this replacing fireworks and lasers?

No, this isn't replacing anything. This is a new addition to Disney Springs for the holidays. With Osborne Lights gone due to SWL construction though, this gives them a new big holiday offering to promote.
