Excellent work, Bob! And many thanks again, Travis!

I am curious... Will the hollow areas inside of these structures be filled with concrete, or will they remain hollow?

Remain hollow filled with all types of wiring hardware and access stairs and platforms to work off of.

Were these sections created in Tarragona, Spain or merely shipped from there?

I'm not sure at this time. I will see what I can find out.

I believe these sections where manufactured in Germany at:

INTAMIN Bahntechnik
und Betriebs-GmbH KG
Dierdorfer Strasse 18
D-56584 Rüscheid

^ Geez, that is a whole lot of trucking or rail when Germany has its own ports. Ask Travis for me.

I was planning on confirming it.

It appears the central column may have been made in Spain. I am still waiting on a confirmation of the manufacturer. I can tell you that the wall thickness is approximately 3.5". :stunned:

Only 3.5"? Wow, I'd guess them to be 6" thick at least. Goes to show you how amazing the stuff that engineers come up with is!

Thanks for the fantastic update Bob! The stuff you've been doing with BGT is amazing and very much appreciated. It's great seeing a park be very outgoing and supportive of construction updates! Thanks Travis as well.

Regarding the actual structure of FF, the sheer size is astonishing!

Glad to see in that video the fine gents of the Tampa PD providing FF with a police escort.

Just as I was beginning to think I'd mustered up the courage to ride this thing at least once, there's another update posted which reminds me how tall this damn thing will be :jaw:

Great updates Bob, appreciated! It's awesome that BGT are so cooperative with them too

It only seems tall if you open your eyes.

And good stuff there Bob. Wouldn't it be cool if UOR was as friendly and helpful about their construction projects?

See I will be the one as we go up saying how cool it is you can see so much from this high up  Now since I have obviously never been on one where the car vehicles turn you like this once you get to the top, not sure what my reaction will be. But the going up that high won't bother me.

Yeah, I'll be the one trying to spot my car in the parking lot and pointing out the Tampa Bay Bridge.

The online article sucks compared to the print one, it shows a detailed drawing of the finished product and has many other tidbits of info.
I will take some pics and post them later.
