This. The alcohol situation has gotten out of control - way too many actors who have been injured, set pieces destroyed, and avoidable incidents occurred. Event doesn't have to go dry, but they really should take some steps to curb some of the out-of-control consumption. (That's all wishful thinking, though, I don't think any of this'll go down.)

They make their money a LOT of other ways. If it only relied on alcohol Hollywood's event would have reinstated alcohol sales years ago

Hollywood is dry, but also a cheaper event. You cant have your cake and eat it too. Without alcohol, the event would lose a lot of money and a lot of its luster.

As to what you said about word of mouth being positive...absolutely not. When UC was courting JK Rowling, they invited her to Horror Nights only to be embarrassed by the amount of alcohol-induces vomit around. In a knee jerk reaction, alcohol sales were suspended for that event (not sure what year). This didnt last long...people were pissed.

HHN wont go dry. If Ops had their way about everything, the parks would be very different places.

Cheaper as in...? People have been raving about Hollywood's production values. I don't see this being true.

As they should have been. It's embarassing to run an event that results in the amount HHN does.

And people would be pissed if they reduced the alcohol sales now. Doesn't mean they shouldn't.

Nor did I say they should. But they should certainly curb the alcohol sales, lessen the amount of bars, and promote less of a binge drinking atmosphere.

Less houses, smaller sets...you dont see Gothic or Screamhouse-level facades in Hollywood.

But ok even if youre not suggesting a dry event, youve seen the bars at the event, youve seen the crowds they attract. Less bars would make people pretty mad too. Also, I dont see anything at HHN that promotes binge-drinking, in fact I see more security guards escorting people out than drunk people.

As for the reveal, I'm guessing it will be Resident Evil as well as anything else they may be hiding.

I did not do the game last year, so I don't know for sure how it all worked (although it doesn't matter as it could be completely different this year), but they could have Easter eggs and things to look for throughout all the houses and the streets for the LT game :shrug: So they don't absolutely need to have a house all about the LT.

I mean we would be agents of the LT, or recruits, or whatever, and we have to look for "clues" (Easter eggs) for the game, which tie in to the LT story. Again, I'm just blurting out thoughts here.
