I like this speculation map a lot better than the last. I’m still not sold on Halloween happening or Stranger Things even after that trailer. I want to hope.

I think I’m the most excited about Dead Man’s Wharf; I love those types of houses…and boats. I hope blumhouse isn’t true, and neither is the bugs because I hate bugs. If there are any roaches involved, I might die on the spot from PTSD. I already have enough Trauma with bugs.

Losing the hope for my beloved Evil Dead in exchange for another Blumhouse compilation is big sad :'(

But they're shooting for newer titles, I understand. Still think it has a likelihood of being a swing and a miss like 2018's though...

My cautious suspicion is the fact that this is legit the exact same lineup that rando account on Twitter was talking about just days ago.

Since that account suddenly seems a bit more credible (assuming you find the speculation map credible), probably worth discussing the other scoops dropped. My comments in italics:
* Bugs a "1950s giant insect" house -- sounds like a lock to be this year's dark comedy house
* Underground creatures = mutants on a subway -- not a Terror Mines reimagining like I had hoped but has potential
* Wolfman v. Mummy includes Dracula -- possibly a London-set house? Mummy escapes museum to meet the local monsters?
* Zones all themed to traditional Halloween; in addition to Scarecrow redux, mutated trick-or-treaters in NYC and a witch zone

Yeah if Blumhouse is happening with Freaky it makes 0 sense to have Halloween there also. It would just be repetitive large guys trying to stab you.

This is the same event that did Evil Dead and its pastiche Cabin in the Woods in the same year on the same street.

Everyone's talking about The Weeknd when it comes to his house, but I think a lot of what will really add a very creepy element (probably when you enter the house and as a transition between scenes) is Jim Carrey's Dawn FM voice.

I would love that. I have a feeling it will lean more into the After Hours era, but I'd love some Dawn FM/Jim stuff mixed in there too. It's all one big story anyway.

Not sure how I'd feel about bugs being a cheesy 50's-style house. You can do some seriously creepy stuff if you made that a more serious house.
