Halloween Horror Nights 34 (UOR) - Speculation & Rumors

With Mike Aiello back in the fold, I HOPE there's no icon this year. Bring back a meaningful one at HHN 35. Pumpkin Lord and Sinister/Surreal were nothing more than MCs (Masters of Ceremonies) regardless of what Marketing wants to call them. I think I saw S/S up on top of the HHN sign once in the 5 nights I went last year...if they were ever in their respective zones, I didn't see them (or at least didn't take note). Their merchandise looking like crap didn't help. Pumpkin Lord was cool since it was an established character with an amazing house previously, but didn't do much for the event but cause a bottleneck for people wanting to take pictures.

Oddfellow at least had a house and was present throughout all the zones (granted you might have needed a secret decoder ring to find him in some of them), but some of the other "icons" were nothing but canned performances welcoming you in through the front gates. Go big or go home. Make a real, fully fleshed out Icon with a house and zone and tied into marketing...or don't bother.

Might as well make that entry area the de-facto Blumhouse Zone and open up San Fran for something else.

I think my biggest hope for this year is that the event will have a clear and unified theme, regardless of whether it has an event icon or not. Despite having no icon, the 80's synthwave theme for HHN29 looks like it was very well executed from the videos I've seen of it.

Mccgavin beat me to the punch - if there's no icon, I want to see a unified theme. The 80s themes for 28 and 29 were executed perfectly. (HHN29 is still my favorite event year)

Whether it be a decade, a theme, a genre, something - I'd be fine with no icon if they can execute it.

I wouldn't call this guy an insider tbh. I don't think he has a reliable track record. He got one rumor (Fallout) but that's it. I just think he got lucky with that one

Fallout was actually going around before he said it, so he doesn’t even get credit for that lmao.

It probably makes more sense to have FNAF this year with the upcoming film.

As much as I don't really care about FNAF, an event featuring FNAF and Fallout would be really cool - if only the idea that 2 video game based properties would be the headliners.

I will say, if Uni’s goal this year is to have bigger IP’s that will sell merch and draw crowds back to the north campus parks, FNAF would certainly help with that.

If all these rumors turn out to be true and we were to end up getting Fallout, Terrifier, and FNAF…the merch sales and crowd numbers this year would be enormous.

I'm guessing you went fairly early on?

I know by the time the height of the season hit with October, Sinist3r and Surr3al were omnipresent in their scare zones. I really enjoyed their performances. The actresses really took the outline they were given and ran with it. Sinist3r in particular from the amount of guest interaction she had from the Torture Faire stage.

Both were also mingling with guests in the Duality of Fear "scare zone"/entrance for the last hour or so,

I will say this: the past couple of year HHN Hollywood has always gotten an animatronics-heavy house. In 2023, it was Chucky. Last year it was a Quiet Place. I could easily see this be the animatronic house for Hollywood this year, thus making it possible for Orlando. No way they’re not sharing that IP.

This would be the first year we get two video game IPs in the same year if those Fallout rumors are true.

If the IP lineup is: Terrifier, Fallout, WWE, M3GAN/HoB: The Black Phone 2 & M3GAN, FNAF... God help us all. That would be even more popular IPs than 2023. I don't know how they would do it, especially without RRR or additional show(s). I really hope that 11-12 house rumor is true. Otherwise this year is going to be reaaaaaaaaaalllllyyyy messy. 11-12 houses plus two shows (Lagoon show coming back and maybe another show using a pop-up stage or the horror makeup location) would help tremendously.

I think FNAF and Fallout (heh at the starting letters), if both are accurate; feel like good picks in the longer haul.

I however would want to wonder if FNAF would be the games over that of the films. Call me crazy, but I wonder if Scott wants the game versions more for the sake of HHN (And that it could allow them to include more than the main 5 from FNAF1 and the Toy/Withereds from FNAF2).

Yes, WWE is still a thing. Also to be fair we haven't had many HHN rumors for awhile. Just a dry part of spec season rn.

Last year we had Insidious and the Blumhouse scarezone in Orlando and the Terror Tram in Hollywood so nothing new there. But there's also the fact they could base the FNAF house off the video games over the movie. If I'm being honest, I don't think FNAF is happening this year. The sources for that rumor don't have a good track record and aren't reliable. But if it comes I won't complain. I kinda want it to happen so people stop begging for it lmao

Outside of HOH who aren’t reliable I haven’t seen anything about WWE at all outside of Legacy saying the rumor has practically died out on his end, so idk about that.

As for FNAF, I think it’s at least a little telling that none of the main leakers have jumped in to deny it yet.
