I feel this is a temporary solution at bestI know we've talked about this before, but one, if not the MAIN reasons for what they're doing... is time.
They could design and build a new ride, but it will take time. They could knock down the building and build a cloned ride, but it will take time. Or, they could do something mighty quick, for now. And tear it down for a new ride later.
Just have them look the film up on Youtube or something, and replicate the "4D" effects at home by shaking their seats and such. They won't know the difference!I know quite a few people who are more casual visitors that are upset with this decision, but the theme park fans I know are happy
I think this is a solid happy medium for where Uni is at right now since SLOP seems out of the picture. We keep the humor of Shrek's preshow with the meet & greet, the ride film still exists elsewhere, and they get to refresh the park with something new that by no means has to be permanent while EU is being developed.I know we've talked about this before, but one, if not the MAIN reasons for what they're doing... is time.

Upset because they actually rode it everytime they visited or upset that a meme is leaving the park?I know quite a few people who are more casual visitors that are upset with this decision, but the theme park fans I know are happy
Memes are a precious resource, Shiekra. Don't discount this loss! Also, you're a stronger person than I am for being able to put up with Twitter. :whiteflag:Upset because they actually rode it everytime they visited or upset that a meme is leaving the park?
Also, Shrek 4D is trending on Twitter because everything is stupid
Twitter taught me that no matter how bad things get, I could always be as miserable as a lot of people on TwitterMemes are a precious resource, Shiekra. Don't discount this loss! Also, you're a stronger person than I am for being able to put up with Twitter. :whiteflag:

What if that takes 5-8 years?I vote for leaving it until ready to replace it with something permanent and worth being at the front of the park.

It’s starting to look like my theory may be accurate.Bringing this back. HHN is fine.
Two identical sides so easy to tAke one down for HHN still? It’s starting to look like my theory may be accurate.
If that’s the timeline we’re working with here, how can anyone consider this “temporary”?What if that takes 5-8 years?

Those who miss it can watch the video on Netflix and give themselves whiplash for a similar experience.Shrek is a horrible attraction and should have gone years ago. Perfect is the enemy of good.
From the sounds of it there won't be any "ride infrastructure" to remove when the time comesWith the amount of stuff that needs to be replaced at USF, I don't see how the Shrek replacement/Villain Con leaves before the resort's 40th. Simpsons (and presumably MIB) will be gone before the end of the decade, and Rockit needs to be retracked/replaced with a new coaster sooner than later. Let's not forget about KidZone either.
