Latest pictures I could find, if you click on the picture it should take you to facebook where you can then go through the album. Now we can see in the picture below the wave pool taking shape.

Some more slides/peices going up too.

Can anyone in the local area confirm what the fire is at VB?

Those slides look to be of decent length! I wonder how much higher they will rise? There is no apparent main structure for the launch area yet.

I am excited for the blue 'constricture' slide. The tight turns widen creating a whip around effect as you take the tight turns. I wonder if the two slides on the 'other side' will be mirror images or completely unique layouts creating 4 different slide experiences instead of basically 2 layouts. I hate when parks have a slide tower of many slides but are just mirror images of each other. Such a waste of space and deceiving of how many attractions a park has in my opinion. The general public usually doesn't understand they are riding the same ride causing lines to be just as long.

Its nice to see somewhat unique looking slides. I hope this trend continues with the rest of the park. Many new slides these days are just too short and 'ordinary' in my opinion.

I wasn't too excited for this park at first, but the more I see the more interested I become to see how this park shapes up!

Last statement for this post...I believe this park will be a mix of Typhoon Lagoon and Aquatica. I hope it is more similar to Typhoon Lagoon's immersive themeing and hiding of the slides in lush landscape and hillside. What can we anticipate in terms of actual themeing outside of the main volcano structure?

I wonder if they had the slides who have the ability to change and adjust ride profile created or if that still is just patented idea.

Some more pieces on their way.

More from Bioreconstruct

I think we can expect the entire park to be heavily themed, by the looks of the colors being used for the slides and structures I am presuming they are designed to blend in rather than stand out. After visiting Universal last year I was impressed by the theming at their parks, don't see why they would stop now!

After looking more closely at those ones that I got a photo of, it looks like they're wider at one end so should be the entrance or exit pieces. I guess they could be completing one or more of those slides today.

Was wasting time on Youtube and came across a water park in Brazil that has a rapids ride and thought that was a great idea. I wish Volcano Bay would add a super soaking rapids ride! I love Popeyes but hate being so soaked in clothes. Now, if that same ride was in a water park I would probably ride it many times a day!

But I would unfortunately bet good money they will not add a rapids ride...

I always thought it'd be interesting if a highly themed flume ride were to be added in a water park. On one hand it'd be awesome to be able to ride one as much as you can and not have to worry about getting too wet, but on another hand it could be a very big operational and space issue in most water parks.

I wonder if they could do some projection mapping inside the tubes, that would be really tricky but insanely cool

If Universal are claiming that this is a water theme park, I think the rides are going to have to take it up a notch.

It's 'all true' after all.

It is essentially a top tier regional water park chain with really high quality water park attractions.

I just YouTubed it. I've always wondered why places like that and Six Flags don't enter Orlando's market. Disney and Universal have that much respect from people? Even Legoland decided to go to Winter Heaven (granted they got a huge bargain but still). I hope Volcano Bay as you stated continues that trend of respecting Universal and Disney (particularly Universal in this case).

Six Flags doesn't build parks, they buy them (The last park they built was in the 70s). Also, since Atlanta is only 8 hours away, it would probably eat into the attendance there.
