t4p!

What??? When did they have an "early preview" in the Port of Entry and how did you gain access to it? Who was the preview for?

I didn't have access, can't remember the name of the restaurant the meeting room was over but it's at the end of Port Of Entry on the right hand side. I saw concept art through some French doors. I'll see if I can't find the pic someone took.

Thanks for the concept art, GGGhost! That conept of the spired fountain under the glass roof is one of the ones I saw months ago that I couldn't figure out when they had an early preview upstairs in Port Of Entry!

It looks more like a drink stand of some sort to me with three servers.

Sound like The Navigators Club.

Darn, I think you're right about what I thought was the fountain.

Anyone know how I can get to the first part of this thread that is now locked?

Ah... so you must have sneaked up the stairs to the bridge next to Confiscos. (although, how someone your height could sneak anywhere is beyond me)

Sound like The Navigators Club.

Yep, sounds as if!

Nope, can't find the pic, oh well. And I wasn't sneaking Teebin, the gate was open and there were stairs so I decided to look around

Their noses aren't pointy enough. Why shorten their noses for no good reason...unless longer noses might interfere with some aspect of the technology?

Good point.... I wonder why they did this. they do look really weird, but I think this is exactly why

Not to worry. I wasn't suggesting bad intent. It's just that all the old guard here knows that the area is off limits. That said, many have romped up those stairs and even through the many rooms including the nifty shutter awnings room.

Its funny you guys knew about tonights event when many TMs had no clue about it. Anyway, I went to it tonight. Only a few new things were told, the creative team are very dedicated, and you guys are going to be blown away with the detail levels. They are more prepared in some aspects for this new open but are STILL not sure about how everything will work (ie park hours not matching and the train). I can answer some questions but of course not as much as you would like. :)

Sounds like some Hogwarts Express riders might be ushered out of an empty IOA at night. Which.. at least should make for some nice pictures.

Unless they dare close the attraction early.

Whats the matter with keeping both parks open the same hours after Diagon opens, does that not make sense?

I guess they've got to find a balance between opening later, and making a profit after costs. It'll be a tough call

I agree that is the easiest course of action for the attraction. The only other option is to close it down with the earlier park on event nights such as HHN. Way too risky to have security escort 100+ people through an empty park.

That and when someone buys out the park and they close it early for that reason. They have to have a plan when the parks close at different times because it is not always possible to close them at the same time.

Theoretically with HHN, couldn't they just section off diagon/kings cross and make it accessible only through islands once US closes. It isn't going to be used during HHN per jk and warner rules, so basically make it part of islands on those evenings and still make it only accessible with park hoppers.

The problem is going to be people coming over HE from IOA...what will happen to them? Also, the lines are going to be ridiculous so how do you get the people still in DA out with HHN already in motion?
