If that patent that was posted awhile ago comes to fruition they don't even need an iron man really. Just a voice for Jarvis and the guests are trying new armor by Stark without my talking role for Iron Man.
This is what I'm thinking. Basically the Spider-Man plot of "test out this new technology for us and something goes terribly wrong so that we are thrown into the action" maybe Iron Man is there, maybe he isn't. The opportunity they have to actually make us feel like we are flying could be unmatched by any other park. Have to wait and see.

It would boost attendance up a lot to have a MCU refurb. Also, it's a subject that people have talked about here before with a lot of other people agreeing with a MCU update. it probably won't happen but when you want something loopholes and possibilities are things that one looks for. I'm not "living in a dream world" for trying to find possibilities. If this subject or any subject was of this important to you, you wouldn't be so quick to judge. I spent time and creativey in a coming up with a project and it's not that weird for wanting it to actually happen.

I don't doubt it would boost attendance but I can't see it bringing in more that Harry Potter did and for what could be double the cost.

I never said you were in a dream world for looking for possibilities, but I think you're in a dream world thinking it could actually happen. I've said several time it's possible. At the end of the day, Universal is a business and they need to see a ROI.

Yeah. People don't care it's not actually Tim Allen on the Buzz ride either.
This.

What are the legalities of getting a voice actor that can imitate RDJ? Seems kind of sneaky, but I wonder if there would be anything preventing this. (Imagine a "Raiders of the Lost Temple" ride with a Harrison Ford sound-alike as a voice over the speaker in your vehicle.)

When I hear celebrities in an advert on the radio, I always wonder why they didn't just hire someone that can imitate the celebrity's voice. Are there laws protecting implied voices/voice-over interpretation? Seems like it would be tough to prove.

Providing we don't see Tony Stark outside of his suit, they could always distress the voice or make it sound slightly digitised. When he's in the suit, the voice is muffled.

You are talking about a park who used another actor to play Hermione in HE. There's nothing stopping them.

I think it would be awesome if they hired the guy from the TV truck in Ironman 3 to play Tony Stark for a ride.

I'll say this: How many people do you hear discussing why Battle for Metropolis isn't based on the DC Universe movies? As long as the ride is good and they know the characters? Who cares? Although I feel part of that has to do with all of DC movies so far being just that: Dog Crap (DC).

Well truth is I never hear any one talking about Battle for Metropolis even though its been out since 2015 also its not a great ride.

I wouldn't say it's not a great ride.

I would say it's above Knott's Iron Reef, and is rather great in a few of it's own ways. Is it perfect? No, but it is one of the best things done in the modern-era age of Six Flags.

Why imitate a actor you know you can't get when you can hire voice actors who have done their work for years on hand to do convincing and real performances?

I'm sorry but the shooting mechanics in that ride are downright terrible and the 3D as well. Everything else was better than expected.

Yeah but the spiderman ride was created before any of the known movies were made, so the comic book version of spiderman was all that was known. But now everyone knows iron man as RDW. IMO it would be weird to hear a voice in an iron man suite that isn't him. It would feel like one of those fake cop out movies.

Adrian Pasdar does a pretty convincing RDJ impression on the Avengers cartoon. That's really all you need if you leave the mask on.

There actually are*, but it's a tough thing to prove. Especially when any Iron Man would need to sound like a cocky, rich middle-aged white guy. Hard to say RDJ corners the market on that.

* (The one case I remember involved, I think, Bette Midler, with a sound-alike singing one of her signature songs in a car commercial. A little Google Fu should find it if this interests you.)

Disney is pivoting Epcot into the Marvel park from what I heard

There is some benefit from distributing attractions based on things from Marvel movies in a variety of parks. This can give an attraction that people that like the Marvel movies (a great portion of them being teenage and adult males) might find more appealing than some of the other attractions in some of the areas in Disney's parks. I don't know that Disney plans on doing that even more specifically for that reason, but it's something to consider.

So, this is me spitballing:

-Allegedly SFX coaster is coming to Orlando
-It's not Donkey Kong
-It's allegedly not Forbidden Forest
-It's allegedly not Guardians of the Galaxy

Could it be...the Avengers?

Marvel doesn't make sense in Epcot. The themes and messages of the movies don't fit even if some of the visuals do.

Well, if Future World becomes SUPERHERO CITY.

I dont even care anymore. Epcot is dead and isn't coming back- ever. So they can knock down the sea pavilion and put incredibles and level imagination and put a Big Hero 6 simulator for all I care. It's done. It's clearly going to be Fantasyland for boys. I wonder if Tom Staggs will come back and review the plans and say its too boy heavy and drop a nice tinkerbell mine train ride in place of one of the Superhero M&Gs.

Is there enough room? I can't see there being enough room by removing Doom and Storm but possibly expanding the land to where the theatre is between MSHI and TL.
