I don't think seeds two was ever really viable. I think what MikePat had (Terror Underground) was the most accurate until this map which has it spot on as well.

If Nope turns out to be both true and the reason why we lost Evil Dead, Creative better get Jordan Peele's movie release calendar and just plan on including whatever he has coming out that season each year to save themselves some headaches/extra work.

No clue if the new map is accurate or not (it's close enough to v3 to believe it is), but the putting of their logo on the O in NOPE is tacky and screams, "look at me swooping in at the last minute".

If I had a nickel for every time a new Jordan Peele property was replacing a house at the last minute, I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.

Honestly, though. No one should be surprised. Insiders have been saying for a while that the replacement house will likely be an original. It’s a matter of time. We are about 60 days from the event starting. That means we’re about 30 days from REHEARSALS. Universal lost Evil Dead about three weeks ago. That is giving them about 2 months (or less) to change over the house. If Marketing/A&D doesn’t think there is an IP worth losing 2-3 weeks of negotiations to procure, then that time is better served just converting to an original.

It makes the most sense, there are literally running out of the time, it makes no sense sweating over an ip, just continue with a new fresh idea in an original that could have been sitting on for a bit, it doesn't affect the event in the slightest when there are many people that want more originals, this is another year you have originals topping over the ips again, where's the wrong in that.

Honestly Jordan peele has only made one decent movie and even that wouldn't lend itself to a good house.

I'm still not convinced on Nope being a good film, it seems very iffy to say the least and a house for it would seem to be a headache to possibly to make, Us back in 2019 was decent even for last minute but I don't see much of his work coming to the event in the future.

Its not too surprising that we lost Eillish, it felt too good to be true for her sticking around at the event, with Weeknd it seems they're trying their best to make this house in the same vein if not different from how they approached the idea for Eillish, the imagery should be interesting with his house especially from his videos, trying to go for more of a darker image that he continues to compromise.

Would Nope take 2-3 weeks of negotiations? It’s a Universal film and Hollywood is already using it. Wouldn’t it be an easy IP to secure and begin work on?

If the HHN teams wanted NOPE at the event, they’ve already built the relationships to have it included from the beginning and not as a last minute replacement. I have zero insider knowledge but I have read the plot leaks for NOPE, but without spoiling anything, there’s a reason it’s joining the studio tour and not as an HHN house.

That’s assuming Universal wants to do Nope.

And, yes, it still takes time to negotiate for IP houses. Universal parks even has to get approval from Universal Pictures on using the Classic Monsters.
