Oh man, I can't disagree more. Outside the caves, which look nice save for the non-operational AA, there is no set design. It's a ride through bland, samey-looking rockwork.

I'm really disappointed in this ride, from the video. Had really high hopes, but it looks like Everest 2.0: A potentially great scene with little else surrounding it.

I didn't specify over the interior/exterior..but inspecting it more, it just doesn't have..anything special to it.

Yea. I'm really sad. I love a good rapids ride, but this just kind of looks bland. hopefully they can get the croc operational though

I just can't believe the mechanics of the Croc is exposed. Push really came to shove here.

And yeah, I echo Skip's sentiments. This is an identical layout to Grizzly (with what seems like a small part of the trough taken out in the middle) and while some elements certainly are interesting, such as the lighting, the colors of the caves and rockwork, the AA's placement and even that little whirlpool prior to the drop... overall this is just boring.

The mountain itself is still gorgeous as hell.

As I said in the Yeti thread.

Looks like fun, but did anyone get wet? Actually, it doesn't seem to be as fun & entertaining as Bilge Rat Barges.

Best comparison vid you're gonna get, since the two are essentially the same ride:

I love Grizzly but it needs AAs badly. You'd think they would've made copies of those bear AAs from Hong Kong and added them but I guess not. Bilge Rat Barge's trumps them all, though.

The AA is clearly not working yet so it's hard to judge it. But the ride itself outside of that scene looks disappointing.

Compared to the concept picture, I was expecting much more.

Let's just remember that the park is not open yet and that was one video. If on opening day it's not working, then i'd say criticism is more warranted.

I don't care that the AA doesn't work, what appalls me is the mechanics exposed. I can only imagine that WDI was forced into giving it over to operations, there's zero chance they would have let it open like that otherwise.

Ok, but you will admit that it isn't like Disney to pull out its junk and shake it around like that.

It was an attempt at a play on words. I meant that it's unlike Disney to open an attraction in such an unfinished state.

I'd agree... if the attraction were truly open. The park has yet to open yet. This is what the soft opening phase is for, no?

Again: it is very, very unlike Disney to open something to the public that has a significant backstage element on display like that. An effect not working is par for the course, but this is something I've never seen them do. Say what you will about Disney, but they are extremely wary about making sure the ride looks, y'know, finished before it goes out there.

This looks like somebody just accidentally let riders on while the Imagineers were still working on it. Let's see how it looks in a week, but I'm still taken aback.

^^^^Agreed for now

It like if Kong Malfunctioned and lights had to go on and you could see all its inner mechanics...or the screen doesn't work so you have to drive right through the 360 with nothing on....

Bilge is number one always but Im not getting most of the replies?

This seems like a fun ride with two drops and good scenary....Besides Bilge, Grizzly Kali stateside I cannot think of a more elaborate raft ride...

I'd say Jurassic Park at the Singapore park counts

It is very relaxing. After hours in a sensory overload disney park the ride is refreshing.
Only been on the california one. But, I remember it being a good way to calm everyone down.
